Really Enjoying Short Shifting
GATMD 12 months ago
I've had the Mountune Quick Shift installed on my 2016 Fiesta ST for a little more than two weeks now. It is a great upgrade, especially for the price point. Throws are indeed much shorter and I noticed as soon as I took my first drive. Rowing through the gears aggressively is a lot more fun and easy now. I installed the Quick Shift myself and it was pretty easy to follow along with Mountune's own video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2R5M0EcTkxI. The only thing I would recommend would be to remove the battery and battery tray to help you fully get at the main cap head bolt to tighten it.
A bit over packaged
AspenForester 2 years ago
I'm actually still waiting on the delivery of my Fiesta ST, so I can't really review the part itself. What I can review is the packaging. The part itself is smaller than the typical billfold, and the tool that comes with it is basically a large bolt, but it comes in a box the size of a shoe box that's completely filled with custom cut foam. This is the first mountune part I've purchased, so my only hope is that they, in fact, use the same box for several other parts. The foam, on the other hand is just silly. I would have been just as happy with a 4x4x4ish box and some bubble wrap. How much did I pay for all that packaging?
LOVE my short shifter!

I had my shifter changed about a month ago. I can't speak to the installation difficulty, but the guy that installed it completed it pretty quickly. Now, I wouldn't have complained about the shifter length before the switch, but, now it's fantastic. It's much easier to throw it into 3rd; every now and then I'd go to 5 instead. That really becomes important when running a course. I'd strongly recommend changing to this short shifter if the car will be used on regular or autocross track.
Quick Shift by Mountune

Now that I have had the Quick shift my car a while, I thought I would give my .02 cents on the product. First the Install is time consuming and will require the correct tools and a little patients as well as SMALL hands... Once the install is done the fun begins with short quick throws and positive gear engagements !!! Very well worth the time and money this upgrade is.. Thanks Mountune!! Great Service from Rally Direct and Mountune.. Will be back for more..

Has a anyone tried this with the 1.0 Focus? I have heard that the transmissions used are the same in the Fiesta ST and 1.0 Focus. Does that mean it should work? Thank you in advance!
A: Unfortunately, we can only confirm fitment for 2014-2016 Ford Fiesta ST models.

Q: How does this function? GFelder3 4 years agoAnswer
Is this short throw kit similar to the Focus ST short throw shifter by COBB where it replaces the factory hardware up by the firewall, or, does this kit replace/alter the shift linkage under the actual shifter inside the cockpit?
A: This kit will be similar to the Cobb kit you mentioned as it replaces the factory arm on the transmission.
