  • Q: Bushings   Amp3 years ago

Does this include everything needed for install, including bushings?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This does not include bushings, you would need a shifter rebuild kit or bushing kit as this just changes the height and throw.

  • Q: short throw shifter  philthywrx4 years ago

i currently have a red shift knob that's over 700 grams, how will that feel with the short throw shifter?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  That would be subjective person to person, I recommend just trying it out and if you don't like the feel switch up the knob until you find a setup you love!

  • Q: Width?  Wrxing Ball7 years ago

I'm looking at ordering torque solutions pivot bushings to go with this but they specify the shifter needs to be at least 40.65mm wide. Can you confirm the width?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, we are not able to confirm fitment on products we do not offer. But, we can confirm Karboy's shifter center width is the same as the OEM one.

  • Q: Question  swivvy8 years ago

Is the knob metal or plastic? Last car I put a short shifter in came with a metal knob and was freezing in the wwinter and burning in the summer. Also are the kartboy bushings advised or are the stock ones ok? -2010 wrx Thanks!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These will not include a shift knob, But I have found Delrin shift knobs are a good option that wont absorb too much heat/cold. Front and Rear Shifter Bushings would be a great addition, and we recommend them with every short shifter.

  • Q: Warranty question  campanozzi10 years ago

Will this void anything in my warranty?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Warranties cannot necessarily be voided but service can be refused. I would check with your service writer at the dealership to see if they have any problems with aftermarket parts and warranties, it varies from dealership to dealership.

  • Q: Shift Knob Threads  BiGCHiEF10 years ago

What size are the threads where the knob screws on? I ordered this shift lever from you. My knob will screw right on to my stock shift lever but won't screw on to this shift lever. Are the sizes different?
  • Q: Does it work with the SPT ss?  GOMEZ10 years ago

I have the SPT short shifter on my '11 WRX. Will the kartboy lever work with the SPT linkage? And do you know how much shorter this is height/throw wise vs. SPT?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This shifter will replace the SPT short shifter and work with the SPT linkage. The Kartboy shifter will be approximately 1 inch lower and about 20% shorter throw when compared to SPT.

  • Q: Trouble with install  Joseph Romeo11 years ago

I can't remove the piece that surrounds the 'bearing' in the stock shifter. The part that is suppose to fill the gap in the new shifter.. If you look at the picture you will know what i am talking about.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you are referring to the stock pivot bushing, that piece is a 2 piece bushing. Remove the inner sleeve, and carefully take a flat head screwdriver and pry the bushing out. Do not use a lot of force. That bushing will break.
