Will this KAR KB-001 fit on a 2004 Wrx?
-
-
0 of

following answer helpful
A: This short shifter will not fit a 2004 WRX. The correct shifter is KAR KB-002.
Zach G. @ RallySport Direct 11 years ago -

following answer helpful
A: This shifter will work on a 2004 WRX with the factory short throw shifter. If your WRX does not have the factory short throw, then you will need the KAR KB-002. You can identify the factory short throw shifter by removing the shift boot and looking at the color of the shifter. If it is gold, then you have the factory short throw and will need this shifter. If it is silver then you have the regular shifter and will need the KAR KB-002.

Q: Question tyca9888267811 years ago
I already have a short shifter that I thought would fit my 04 wrx, but it turns out it didn't fit. When I took a look at stock shifter it is gold so I am guessing it has the pre-installed shifter. The kartboy short shifter I bought had the part number kb008422 do you know what vehicle this fits?
-
-
0 of
0 people found the
following answer helpful
A: I apologize we do not show Kartboy having that as a current part number. If your factory shifter is a gold zinc plated color then you do have the STI/SPT factory short throw shifter installed on your vehicle and will need to purchase the KB-001 part number.

Q: Does this item come with the necessary bushings mtryvette12 years ago
Does it come with the bushing kit ?

following answer helpful
A: Unfortunately not. The bushing kit is a seperate purchase from the short shifter. Kartboy part number KAR KB-003 is the correct part number for this application, or you can simply reuse your existing pivot bushings. Thanks.
