I love this shifter, it was fairly easy to install and the adjustability is great, it feels really solid and made shifting so much more comfortable. it pairs great with the cobb delrin shift knob

After installing this on my 2002 WRX Wagon, I immediately noticed how much notchier and tighter the shifts were in my car. This is an essential upgrade if you want the best driving feel. Super easy install, and the adjustable height on the shifter makes this worth all the value.

I should have gotten the Cobb short shifter sooner, very easy to install , fast shipping from RallySport Direct. It's nice to be able to adjust the shifter for height and throw makes shifting nice and smooth. Definitely a must have, if you love driving your car.

Excellent product made out of excellent materials. Only issue with mine is that regardless of tightening the everloving sh*t out of the lower, joint-style extension, the whole extension would still suddenly slip and disappear inside the sleeve portion of the short shifter. So any time you row into second it slides almost all the way out of the sleeve, and then when you push into second it slide all the way back into the sleeve. I managed a DIY fix by just cutting a piece of a pencil to fit down inside and keep it at length, but now it's not so adjustable. Overall it really is a good product, and it makes the shifting feel great when it works, I just feel like I got a crappy one. Hopefully Cobb can do something for me.

A: This particular short throw shifter is adjustable throw wise, as well as height wise. With the knob height, you can adjust it from 1” higher than stock, to 1“lower than stock. This is for cars with the factory shifter. You can tell if your car has the factory shifter by pulling down your factory shift boot, and looking at the color of the lever. If it is gold zinc plated lever, then you have the STI option installed. If it is a dark gray, then it is the stock assembly.
