Do you guys know the part number for the 2 gaskets that come with this short ram intake the gaskets go between the air filter cone and the box and then the intake pipe
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The two gaskets appear to be part number 09202 which is available in the breakdown of the user manual. We do not stock these but they can be special ordered. Please give us a call or email if you have any other questions.

  • Q: new air filter   skyethesubiguy4 years ago

Do you guys sell the air filter by itself i need a new one for my k&n short ram that i got from you guys
  • Q: Tune  ArthurH4 years ago

Do i need to get my car tuned if i put this new air intake on? I own a 2006 subaru wrx. It says it doesnt require tuning but my friend experienced engine problems in his car when he put a new air intake on. His air intake also required no tuning. He told me subarus are sensitive when it comes to these little mods so i must tune it. Im just curious to find out if a tuning is required, if it isnt will it mess up my engine because of the more air flow going into the system and the system not recognizing?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We strongly recommend a tune anytime you install an intake system. It may be possible to use without, but not worth the risk in our opinion.

  • Q: Fitment  Jakclong5 years ago

Will this fit with a Perrin FMIC? Or any FMIC?
  • Q: Australian fitment  AyZee5 years ago

will this fit on an Australian 2007 WRX ClubSpec 9 ? I'm aware that a lot of products on here suit North American cars so I just want to be sure and if there is even a difference. Thanks.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  As you mentioned, we are only able to confirm fitment on USDM model vehicles. I recommend checking with a few local forum members and seeing what they have done on their similar vehicles to confirm fitment. Thank you.

  • Q: 2007 Impreza  JaredWassil7 years ago

Will this fit a stock 2007 impreza 2.5i, if not is there any cold air intakes here that will?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This intake will not fit a non-turbo Subaru, including the 2007 2.5i. The only intake options that we currently have for that car is drop in panel filters.

  • Q: Filter  07WRX/STI7 years ago

Does the filter need to be oiled? And if so can it be replaced w/ a different filter that does not need to be oiled?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Hello, The filter that comes with this kit is preoiled and is designed to be oiled after ever cleaning. You could definitely install a dry filter in place of the one included with the kit if you prefer the dry over the wet. That would not hinder the performance of the intake at all but you will still want to clean the dry filter every couple of oil changes depending on your driving conditions. Thank you.

  • Q: fitting  Engelkes927 years ago

will this intake fit inside the cobb air box like the cobb sf intake does or no?
  • Q: tuning  willnwong931258 years ago

if im ALREADY Opensource tuned stg.2 Do i need to retune to safely use this intake?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Ultimately the O2 sensor in the exhaust will will correct the Air fuel ratio of the engine to run at the specs set by your program. If your air fuel ratio is way off the ECU will trigger a check engine light. Since K&N hasn't performed testing with your specific mods its always a good idea to verfiy your tune is correct.

A:  Further down it was stated that this intake is not designed to work with the cobb stage 2 map, I would also add that it is not designed to work with the stock map either and should be tuned for.

  • Q: AP Safe?  Master Jez9 years ago

Is this intake safe to use with an Accessport stage 2 map?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Cobb's stage 2 MAP was not designed to run the K&N intake. So to be certain you would need to look at the fuel trims, MAF scale, and air fuel ratio to make sure that the intake is not effecting the calibration in a negative way. Unfortunately we are not able to verify what effects this intake would have on a Cobb Stage 2 calibration.

  • Q: Fitment  Laksono9 years ago

Dear Sir/Madam, will this equipment fits 2007 WRX STI Spec C (2000cc engine, Japan Domestic Market)? Thanks and regards, Laksono
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No testing was done to ensure fitment on non-US specific vehicles. With that being said all intakes from the Japanese market car cross over to the US cars with no issues. We are not able to guarantee fitment, however this item should be able to bolt right on with no issue. Only thing you would want to make sure is that the inside of your factory MAF housing is 65mm.
