This is the ACT Heavy-Duty Race Sprung 6-Puck Disc Clutch Kit. This is a great clutch kit for those with vehicles built for high-horsepower street or race use. This kit combines ACT's Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate with their 6-pad disc to have a higher torque rating that surpasses the limits of the OEM clutch.

  • Designed with an exclusive diaphragm design to increase clamp load, reduce deflection, and maximize clutch life
  • All diaphragms endure a four-stage heat-treating process for unparalleled performance
  • Pressure plate has precision cover stampings for improved rigidity and consistency
  • 6-pad spring-centered race disc features a spring-center construction to properly clamp torsional vibration and to resist failure under harsh conditions
  • Spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support
  • The spring-centered race disc engagement is harsher but provides faster shifts

    First the alignment tool was not going to work out of the box with this clutch and a lightweight flywheel. Had to make some modifications to the alignment tool to have it reach the spring. But it worked out and feels amazing. This is my week end car, not a daily driver. It would be hard to drive as a daily driver in my opinion. Awesome for track use tho.

    I bought this to handle the upgrades I had been doing to my 2009 Subaru WRX. Great product and amazing feel when the clutch grabs. Your left leg will get a workout if you're stuck in a traffic jam and are doing a lot of stopping and going. Great buy if you are looking to seriously upgrade your car in the future.

    Got this installed about a month ago and it does take some time to get used to it. Make sure it's fully broken in before pushing it. Drive on it for about 800-1500 miles or so until it's broken in ...

    Took me about 3 hours to install. Also bought ACT's Streetlite flywheel. Perfect combination. Clutch took a little bit to get used to, but I love it. And as other people have stated, your left leg with get buff from being stuck in traffic

    This clutch held up to what ever punishment I could throw at it. I would not recommend it for daily street use. It can have chattery starts at low throttle engagement. It was rather annoying at times in stop and go traffic.

        A:  Certain clutch makers, including ACT, will have variances in pressure plate and flywheel diameter on certain kits. It's recommended to match this with ACT's flywheel to ensure proper fitment.

      2013 WRX that currently has 329 HP and 354 Lb/Ft. Future upgrades are a bigger turbo and a header. This is a daily driver but I need a clutch that will be able to handle the extra HP and TQ for the upgrades coming up. Any recommendations?

        A:  It would depend on which turbo you were planning on going with, but this clutch would likely work well with your application. As a general rule though, puck clutches will be trickier to drive than a traditional full face.

      I have a 2010 subaru legacy gt. And about to be doing some upgrades and I'm sure I will bypass the capabilities of the oem clutch but in the description it shows that this one only goes to year 2009 even tho it showed up in the search for a 2010 so I wanted to ask and make sure

        A:  This clutch is confirmed to fit your 2010 2.5GT. I only recommend using this clutch on track/auto-x cars as it will be very harsh for everyday use on a street car. I recommend part # ACT SB5-HDSS for a street car.

      The product description for ACT SB5-HDG6 says I must use a 2006-2014 WRX flywheel for my XT. Can I use the ACT 600480? The description of that flywheel says it does not fit my vehicle. What would you recommend? I don't really want to go with the pro-lite for the street.
