Features & Product Details
If you have a built block with a rotated turbo setup, then it may be time to upgrade to the ACT XT Performance Street Sprung Clutch Kit for the 06+ Subaru WRX. This clutch holds up to 51% torque capacity over the factory clutch, so roughly around 510 ft/lbs of torque. This clutch features ACT's Xtreme Pressure Plate which use an exclusive diaphragm design which increases clamp load, reduces deflection, and promotes better clutch life. Additionally, these diaphragms have gone through a four-stage heat treating process for long lasting performance.
Included with the pressure plate is the Performance Street Sprung Disc. This disc has been made with premium materials with high copper content for efficient heat transfer. This also allows for faster shifts with a smooth operation. This disc goes hand and hand with the ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate.
Also included is the XACT Streetlite Flywheel. This flywheel is a forged and CNC machined one-piece flywheel that is lighter than the factory flywheel. This means less rotational mass will be had at the crank which will allow for faster revs, and more horsepower and torque. This flywheel can be utilized for both street and race use.
These are the main ingredients of this clutch. Other components include a new release bearing, new pilot bearing, and finally an alignment tool to help with installation.
FITMENT NOTE: Due to change in the flywheel and clutch disc size, the following models MUST use this clutch and flywheel together as they WILL NOT be compatible with the OE or other stock sized replacement parts.

Get something beefier and stronger for these power levels as this will not last long.
It holds the power in 2-5, drives ok, pedal feel is mild-strong, occasional slips in first gear ( I’m only at 410 wheel 405tq ) I don’t feel like this setup will last me another 10k miles to be honest and I drive pretty conservatively. At 2243 miles now on it.. we will see when it finally gives up. The hp/tq ratings are quite a bit off IMO

So I bought this setup but my tuner recommends going with at least a six puck for my setup, can I use this pressure plate with an ACT six puck disc? If so, what are my options?

A: This clutch is rated for 510 ft/lbs crank torque capacity. It's going to be overkill for a stage 2 WRX.

A: Yes this will fit a 2008 WRX. You are going to want a clutch that will handle how much torque your car has.
