Lamin-X Taillight Covers (Multiple Colors)
Subaru WRX/STI Hatchback 2008-2014
Features & Product Details
Are you ready to upgrade your taillights to create a look of distinction unlike any other? Lamin-X taillight covers are setting a new customizing trend on the aftermarket scene. Not only do these taillight covers look good, but they offer improved protection against the unforgiving road.
Their high quality transparent lens film is a flexible vinyl material with adhesive backing. It adds a unique look to your taillights while retaining the stock shape. In addition to the added protection you will receive from rocks and other road debris, the taillight covers prevent the hazy, yellow appearance caused by UV radiation and inferior taillight materials. Lamin-X is low maintenance and car wash safe.

Is this real life? I spent over an hour trying to get a single side of my tail light to fit (and failed). There is ZERO room for error! Even with a heat gun and some stretching, I was always just short of an edge. I'm thinking Lamin-x is trying to cut costs, because what I saw from older youtube videos was a much larger portion of product. Now I'm debating whether I should just toss it out, instead of dedicating an entire day to this nonsense. Y U NO MAKE BIGGER PIECES?!?!

The color is perfect very high quality not pinkish like those knock offs, yes install was a pain but if you prep, and make sure you have the right tools, and a lot of patience. You'll reap the reward which is an awesome, more aggressive look. Definitely worth the time! The Kit includes: Box cutter, lamix vinyl, extremely small spray bottle( like something you would clean glasses with),left and right rear lamix overlays( your choice) all packaged very safely. I recommend starting from the middle then work your way out to the edges. If the edge of the overlay doesn't reach use a heat gun to persuade it.

plain and simple they look great, however with the different dimensions of the tail lights the ones off the hatch can be a royal pain. a heat gun and taking your time will help alot though. dont be surprised if it takes you 30-60 minutes to get this on correctly, the time wont be wasted though.

I spent over an hour trying to get these to fit properly but with no success. There is no room for error and if anything they dont cut you off enough material and for 50 bucks i would expect them to give you some play. Pay someone to do this and let it be their problem.

Application is a mild pain in the butt. It definitely makes the car look better, so far the best Mod I've done.

A: If you want the signal lights trimmed out of the covers, then you would need to do that by hand.

Q: How dark? volix10 years ago
How dark are the smoked/black light covers? I'm looking for a cover that smokes the tail lights.. but those look black? No install pictures though so it's hard to tell.

A: The smoked covers are rather dark and you can refer to Lamin-X's website for a color reference.

A: I would imagine the covers would be illegal to have on public roads, however it would be a good idea to double check the legalities before you purchase or install, just to make sure. Thanks, Rick
