Just built two cars with these bearings and they have both de-laminated within 600km. I cut my oil filter and it was full of debris and it was only after a gentle break in. The bearing itself never spun and the clearances were under 0.0015. The quality of these bearings has dropped significantly over the years. They are made in china and it shows in the quality. PLEASE save yourself a expensive teardown and spend the extra money on good bearings. I used king bearings after the rebuild and never had an issue since.
I have used these bearings several times in several different engines and they were perfect every time. Clearances were spot on. I have had zero problems with these bearings.
Acl bearings used to be made in Australia.. Now only the race line is. These standard bearings are made in China. I've seen issues with oil clearances due to bearing thickness variances now and do not trust acl like I used to.
ACL makes quality stuff, if you planning a basic stock spec rebuild you can't go wrong. Looking for power build look for ACL race bearings.
good product and high quality, recommended
