I waited until 77k to change tranny and rear diff. The product is great, I should have used it sooner. This with a little motul 300....wow! If you are questioning getting it, don't anymore. Order it ASAP, you won't be disappointed. RSD was great as always with shipping and service.
Changed my transmission / front differential out with this - great improvement in feel and sound, car is much happier and feels like it has more lubrication.
I was having trouble shifting into reverse unless i let the car roll back one quart of this mixed with Motul 75w-90 gear oil solved the problem. I don't see any difference in shifts after the oil change (as far as smoother shifting, but it solved my main concern and as always great customer support from the RSD team!
I put in my 02wrx 5 speed 3 qts of this Redline and 1 qt of the Motul. Works great and feels smoother. This with a stage 2 makes the difference!
Its like blue peptobismo lol but texture and liquid construction is very useful.

Q: Mixing Redline Shockproof w/ Subaru Extra-S ViperSTi6 years ago
Can you mix the two? If so, would it help with a synchro issue? I am running only on Extra-S and it helped the Synchros greatly, but there is still a slight grind into the STi 6-speed 3rd gear. 4th gear mid/high rpm grind is completely gone.

A: It is very common to mix this fluid with other gear oils, but we have not tried mixing with Extra-S. It should not be a problem to use both together, but we cannot guarantee that.

Q: Is it safe? tcwedge93473328 years ago
So do I just buy 4qts and just change the tranny fluid, refilling with this? Is it safe for my tranny? Are there any downsides or is it just regular ol tranny fluid with some benefits?

Q: . nmc920302739 years ago
is this fluid more likely to perform well in a 5mt than a 6spd? i've only read horror stories on iwsti, but OTOH only good things on lgt and forester.net. would you suggest the mix of 3/1 shockproof/motul300 in my lgt?

A: We typically suggest to stay away from mixing fluid manufactures, reason being that different manufactures use different chemicals which can react and become acidic or corrosive. So you will want to stay with the same manufacture of fluids and not be mixing them.
