    Amazing quality!  7 months ago
    5out of 5stars

This radiator is the best of the best quality, mated up to some Mishi fans. There is a small gap between the radiator & fans but that can be fixed with generic weather-stripping. I got AN fittings and fabric braided hose from the local performance shop and the oil lines were very simple to route.

CSF Racing Radiator on 07 STI 2 years ago
    5out of 5stars

To give some background on my experience with Subarus. I have owned 7 Subarus that I have enjoyed modding over the last 16 years. I currently have an 07 STI limited. I will give all the details about this install and why the fitment is not guaranteed for the 06-07 models. This is a very well engineered radiator. I have had several other aftermarket / race radiators. This is by far the best crafted one I have had yet. Solid all the way around, with all the fittings and bolt points spot on! However, CSF will not guarantee fitment on the 06-07 WRX/STI models. I figure it is for these 2 reasons. 1. The fan shrouds at the bottom of the radiator do not give enough room for the -10AN oil fittings (see pic1). This is a simple fix and takes 5 minutes to modify, with no integrity loss of the fan shroud, with simple tools. I did this with a pair of diagnal cutters (dikes). On the fan shroud there are 2 seperate wall linings around the fan. Simply notch out the outer lining next to the -10AN fitting (see pic 2). This now gives you enough room to run -10AN lines to the oil cooler without compromising the fan integrity of the fan shroud. 2. On the top of the CSF radiator, where the radiator cap is, there is an overflow line that connects from the radiator to the overflow hard line (see pice 3). Because of the extra thickness of the radiator, this overflow line is now too short. I could get this OEM line to fit if I stretched it, but I felt it kinked the ends of the OEM line too much, and that this would lead to the line premature splitting/failing of this OEM line. To fix, simply get a 5" piece of new tubing (see pic 4). I do have one complaint. And it has nothing to do with the radiator itself. Like I stated earlier, this is an exceptional radiator. The complaint is this. CSF will not guarentee the fitment of this radiator for the 06-07 models based on 2 very simple modifications to OEM parts to allow the radiator to fit. However in any install of this radiator, reguardless of the years model, you will have to cut both OEM radiator hoses at least 1/2" off the end (see pic 5) to allow for the extra thickness of the CSF radiator. I found if you do not cut the ends, in the top hose it rides too close to the power steering pulley, and in the bottom hose, it restricts the flow because it is slightly kinked. Conclusion: AWESOME radiatior!!

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Which mocal sandwitch plate does it come with?  intro_amajid028013 months ago

Which mocal sandwitch plate does it come with? I believe the one in the picture is the greddy one they originally supplied. Is there a mocal part number so i can lookup more info? I need to make sure it is actually thermostatic. And at what temperature does the thermostat open?
    • Q: Can you use on 4EAT auto?  Le_Ruta4 months ago

The stock 4eat radiators come with trans cooler inside. I'm wondering if you could route this oil cooler so it acts as a trans cooler? Thanks!
    • Q: CSF radiator with built in oil cooler Fitment   Mansell1 year ago

Does this product fit a 2004 STI since the description says it does but your website says it doesn’t?
    • Q: Oil Lines  Sm00vPenguin1 year ago

Would 3ft lines be good? or would 4 ft be the way to go? I just don’t want excessive line being crammed under the car. Thank you in advance! (2004 wrx)
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Roughly 2.5 ft each will be what you'll need, but I would recommend taking a couple measurements before purchasing. The length needed will depend on how you want to route them with your specific setup.

    • Q: Sandwich plate  Bug-eye662 years ago

Does the sandwich plate have ports for gauge sensors?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This does not have temp/pressure sensor ports, I would recommend using the oil galley plug adapters.
