Process West Top Mount Intercooler w/ Shroud Kit Black

A common error that people can make when upgrading their intercooler is not installing a properly sized splitter. The benefit of a larger intercooler is that the large surface area can rapidly disperse heat. However when utilizing the stock splitter, the intercoolers effective surface area can be drastically reduced. 

Another mistake is completely eliminating the splitter which allows air to escape around the intercooler instead of going through the core. The lack of air flowing through the core will cause the intercooler to heat up, making the intake charge warmer potentially causing heat soak issues, and reducing power.

Process West has come up with a great solution by combining a properly sized intercooler with a shroud designed to specifically work together to provide adequate air flow and a cooler charge to the turbo.

This Top Mount Intercooler Shroud is fabricated from high-grade steel, and features precisions welds, and has been powder-coated black to remain corrosion resistant. Weather stripping is installed on all 4 sides of the intercooler shroud to create a proper sealing surface between the shroud and the intercooler and keeps the high-pressure zone within the intercooler. 

The intercooler itself will come 90MM thick, which will allow for better breathing capabilities, and provides lower outlet temperatures which will create more power. Additionally, the intercooler provided in this kit will come in a black finish for those who want the stealth look in their vehicle. 

This splitter is designed specifically for the Process West Top Mount Intercooler, however, this unit can work with other brands of intercoolers but we are not able to confirm fitment. 

NOTE: 04-05 Forester XT require a STI BOV and STI BOV recirculation hose for proper fitment
