This is the PERRIN Performance Downpipe. This downpipe provides an unobstructed flow path to allow the exhaust gases to exit freely out of the turbocharger. The design features smooth bends that are combined with a larger piping diameter that is an overall major improvement over the OEM unit to improve both the horsepower and the torque while allowing the turbo to react quicker.

Came across that I left a 1/5 star review on this product. This in fact was a mistake. I have had this downpipe equipped for about 6 months now. Performance has been amazing. I was skeptical on a DW style over a bellmouth but if you’re in the market for a downpipe this is the one. Zero fitment issues! The adjustable tail piece is so useful. Disassembly and adjustments time has been cut down so much and you can safely save that donut gasket if you aren’t straight up replacing the mid pipe. The band clamp that is included couldn’t handle my 1/4” impact so I did have to purchase a different clamp. Using hand tools will suffice for proper sealing. With that being said, performance has been my greatest satisfaction with this product. I have some complaints about the QC that my specific order had undergone. There were about three wraps of brown paper around the actual downpipe. No physical damage was found, nor would I have cared if there was. The road tears up parts more than any shipping company can. There were large strands of metal in the O2 bung that I didn’t notice at first which caused my sensor to get stuck in an angle. I did in fact use my purse to resolve this and no damage was done. The welds on the mating flange to the turbo were ok. I can’t see any foreseeable issues in the future but I personally appreciate seeing the time and attention to detail that’s put into a product. Overall, I would highly recommend this. I’ve purchased other Perrin parts and some were already installed on my vehicle when I bought it. Very great quality, value and performance. Just give yourself the piece of mind and give it a once over to avoid the potential hassle I went through. Applying anti-sieze on the tail shaft of the downpipe can make life a lot easier too.
