Process West V-Mount Cooling System 1997-2000 WRX/STi
Subaru WRX/STI 1997-2000
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct carries some of the best intercooler kits in terms of performance and durability brought to you by Process West.
Here, you are looking at the Process West V-Mount Intercooler Kit. If you want optimal cooling efficiency for high-performance track conditions, then this kit is the one to employ. Sometimes, depending on your aftermarket front mount intercooler setup, the intercooler core itself can block or interfere with the air going to the radiator which can raise your coolant temperatures. Process West relieves this issue with the best of both worlds by engineering a V-mount setup that allows the air to completely hit the surface of the radiator, as well as the intercooler simultaneously.

Purchased this intercooler/radiator setup for my 2000 2.5RS coupe. I have listed the pro's and con's of the install below and things to be aware of: Pro's: - Great packaging, everything was in perfect condition ready for installation - Very high quality parts - Once the radiator support modifications were made the kit fit perfectly Con's: - The kit was missing the rubber mounting bushings for the radiator support brackets. The installation picture shows rubber bushings on all four connection points and they are not included in the kit. I ended up measuring and purchasing my own from McMaster Carr - no instructions included, only pictures of the kit being installed on their shop car. Things to be aware of before ordering: - This is not a direct plug and play kit and will require further parts/modifications to function. You will need to purchase/design/fabricate your own charge piping, radiator fill/expansion tank, and fan harness. - If installing on USDM radiator support, the intercooler mounting points are for the JDM radiator support and you will need to drill the passenger side hole for a new bolt - Must be running the JDM front bumper beam. None of this kit will work with the USDM beam Chances are you already know the level of modification required if you are looking at this kit, just wanted to save someone time and effort and explain the details of the install.
