absolutely a thing of beauty. amazing product. if you have a cobb bov it will rub against your brake reservoir due to the adjusting screw. but thats not their fault. just food for thought for anyone has a cobb bov and is getting this.
As we all know, this is a great product, however I wanted to write about some of the quirks about this product. For one, if you have, or are planning to do the STi 6 speed swap on your WRX, be prepared to either fabricate, or contact process west to get the right bracket (PN: PWBRKT001), as the Intercooler doesn’t mount to the pitch mount, but rather the transmission/bracket under the pitch mount. The trick with this kit is to loose fit everything, then once everything is in position, tighten everything down. Check for clearance by the turbo as it looks REALLY close to the elbow. The hood scoop was super easy and looks amazing. I can confirm, the SPT strut bar DOES work with this Intercooler. It performs very much like a front mount. I had the car sit at idle for 30 minutes to get it to heat soak. Popped the hood to check for heat soak and the hot side was hot, but the cold side was surprisingly still cold. The only time I got it to fully heat soak was when I went to the store and was inside for 45 minutes. With the engine not running, it absorbed the engines heat, but within a few minutes of driving, the Intercooler has dissipated the heat. I did have a little bit of pressure drop on my current tune, but throttle response and power seem to be the same. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. It performs well, looks great, and offers expansion for more power. Great product.
It’s a very simple and direct upgrade from stock install other than the transmission bolt everything was simple to install , Performance wise It’s sure does make the car breathe a lot better for quick spools and better throttle response and quality of part is awesome if you want that aggressive but sleek look under your hood but I went with the black for that little more stealthily look all around it’s a 10/10 quality part Highly recommended
I’ve read the other reviews. I agree with most of them. This thing is awesome! Install was simple enough, intercooler to throttle body hose was a smidge long...perfect! (My wife always says better to have too much than not enough!) Keep everything loose until ALL of it is installed, then crank it all down. Nice clamps, solid construction and hardware. The only thing I want to change for my Rex is the stock BOV return hose to silicone. Mine is 6 years old and stiff, bending it to the straight connector is stressing it a bit. (Wife has stuff to say about that too, but that’s for another time...!)
After drilling a new holes from the mounting bracket, I was able to shift the intercooler a bit to the left. Just enough clearance to fit the turbo smart dual port bov. Have to cut the throttle body hose a bit and the other hose atthed to the bov to fit perfectly.

Q: AOS ChrisF4 years ago
Would it be possible to run the Verticooler while still be ing able to fit an IAG or Cobb Air Oil Separator?

following answer helpful
A: We have not test fitted a Cobb or IAG AOS with this intercooler. By looking at videos and pictures of the two items installed, it looks like it would be a very tight fit and may not work well together.

A: This was my same question with a 2013 WRX, cause I’m also looking to purchase the verticooler along with IAG’s AOS. So I went to the NASIOC forum and found a confirmed fitment between the two products! You have to scroll down a little bit to see the pictures but it is confirmed. https://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2694630
