Q: Cobb Tuning darth.subie2 years ago
Whats up, I have a 2017 Subaru WRX Premium. I'm running a Cobb ap and a Cobb Big SF intake. I just put an Invida J pipe on there. What tune would you recommend? Before the J pipe I was running Stage 1+ Big SF. What should I run now? I know I should get it protuned but that won't be for a little bit. Currently Running the Stage 2 91 tune, is that ok?
-
-

A: With an aftermarket turbo back, you would want a tune, the OTS maps are meant for Cobb parts. I would recommend setting up that protune.

Q: What map should I use? jonathan.agudo442992 years ago
I am currently running Stage 2+SF on my 2015 sti w/ Cobb intake, Nameless catted dp, and Nameless axleback. I will soon be installing Tomei UEL headers and a Nameless midpipe to complete the TBE. I understand with the headers that I'll need a protune, but which map can I safely use in the meantime with all these modifications?

I have a 2018 Subaru WRX Premium with an ETS intake. Which map would be the safest map to run? I only have access to 91 octane in my state.

A: The ETS intake, using a stock sized MAF housing does not need a tune. So you would treat your car as stock when selecting a map.

Q: I was told one of the stock maps will work for my AEM cai tigermann06252 years ago
I'm super new to modding and I was told by a few people that the pre loaded maps will work with my AEM cai. Can anyone confirm this? Its the only mod I have on my stock 2017 wrx limited cvt.
-
-
0 of
0 people found the
following answer helpful
A: The AEM Cold Air Intake would require a tune, the Cobb Maps are only designed for Cobb SF Intakes, or stock air intakes/air filters. It would be ideal to get a tune meant for your intake.

I drive a 2008 STI with a GFB BOV set at 50/50 and a greddy single exit catback. I’m thinking about getting either an invidia catted Downpipe or a Cobb intake. If I got either or both, what map/maps would be best to run? Thanks!

A: For an aftermarket, non-Cobb turbo back, you will want to run a stage 2 map, to get the most out of your other mods, you would likely want to seek a pro tune from a local tuner.
