  • Q: 2017 WRX Limited  Bobby Lee4 days ago

I have a 2017 WRX Limited with the Cobb Stage 2+ Big SF (resonated j-pipe) package. Do I need to be running the stage 2+ map or is it okay to run the stage 0 (simulated stock) map at times?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you have all the parts to support the stage 2 map that is what you need to run. You cannot run stage 0 with those parts.

  • Q: Is there a different cobb tuner for automatic or manual car (subaru)  natesubi9812 days ago

I have an automatic 02 wrx and want to buy a cobb tuner but Im going to in the mear future be doing a transmission swap from auto to manual but still want the fun of a tuner right now. Is there a difference between them? Or like are they made specifically for an auto or manual car?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It would be the same, as it is not affecting the engine or ecu when you swap transmissions.

A:  This accessport will not work for your vehicle. You would need to purchase the 004 one.

  • Q: APV3 stage 1 flash  E90VPHelp2 months ago

I recently purchased a Cobb access port v3 and flashed my 2010 335i to stage 1 “sport” and immediately started to have misfires. I then switched to stage 1 “drive “ which worked much better but still the odd misfire after a long pull. My question here is, what do I need to do to comfortably flash to stage 1 and can you even do it on a stock engine?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have a larger issue than the tune. I would have a mechanic take a look at your car or try reaching out to COBB directly to see if they have any recommendations!

  • Q: Swapping between Stage1 93 and Stage 0 Realtime  whorne89088372 months ago

On my 2015 STi my engine is completely unmodified and running the Stage1 93 tune. I like switching between the Stage0 and stage1 and having the ability to swap these maps real-time. Is it harmful or just generally not good to frequently go between the Stage0 and 1 map? Should you keep at Stage 1 and only use Real-time flash for swapping between the corresponding Stage1 maps like 91,93, and eco?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Stage 0 is you map that comes on the car from factory. Stage 1 is Cobbs map that will add a little performance. I would not recommend switching back and forth in maps. I would just pick one and stick with it.

  • Q: COBB ACCESSPORT V3  Jonnyboi2 months ago

Hello, I have a 17’ Ecoboost mustang with an MBRP Intercooler, MBRP catted downpipe, axleback exhaust and K&N air filter. NO Cold air intake. Can I run a stage 2 tune with these different brand mods?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, COBB only confirms their tune to works with their own products, we would not be able to confirm if stage 2 would work or not. However, I recommend getting a protune with those mods so you can see the maximum increases

  • Q: Access Port  BoostedSTi3 months ago

Can I just install AP and not flash a tune using it to monitor vehicle until I’m ready to upgrade and flash a tune
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  There should be an option to choose "stage 0" as a map when installing and that would be your stock map just to use for monitoring.

Does this have a map for the Cosworth High Flow Air Intake System - Subaru WRX 2008-2014 MODEL # COS1 20019422?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, Cobb does not offer a map for the Cosworth Intake. The Accessport is a Cobb made product, so their maps are designed to work with their products specifically. You could switch to the Cobb intake that is confirmed with their map, or you could also look into having a pro tune done for your vehicle.

  • Q: 2017 WRX MT COBB ACCESSPORT  1slwrex4 months ago

Just recently installed my accessport with the stage 1 91. Ive already had a catback borla installed. Its a weekend car since i drive over 50 miles daily. Now my question is, the only other mod im waiting to get is the cobb intake so, should i keep the accessport on real-time until i receive the intake or reflash it ?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It'd be best to keep the Accessport on Stage 1 until you install the intake, then switch it over to Stage 1+ SF once you've gotten that on the car.

Will cobb ap work with my forester? It is completelly stock, with no upgrades so far
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will work with your FXT. Cobb's Stage 1 map is designed for an all-stock vehicle motor wise, so you'd be able to run that tune.

I am newly getting into car stuff and learning as I go, I have a 2023 wrx and I bought a Cobb CAI but Haven’t I stalled it yet. I still need to buy an access port right? And after the access port will I still need a protune
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The part you'll want for your vehicle is COB AP3-SUB-001, assuming it's a 2002 or 2003. Assuming your vehicle has the proper modifications for their OTS maps, the Accessport will eliminate your need to get a pro tune, you can just run the Cobb map.

I own a 02 sti what do i need in order to but and install this accessport people say i need a down pipe but i dont wnat to buy one and not need it
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It would depend on which modifications you already have and which map you would like to run. Cobb's website has map notes for your vehicle that break down which modifications will work with which OTS maps: https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PRS/pages/71991532/Map+Notes+for+2002-2005+WRX

A:  However, is the vehicle is an 02 STI, this product will not work with it, as this Accessport is only confirmed to work with USDM ECU's. The previous answer's map notes are specific to 2002-2005 USDM WRX's. If it is a USDM 02-05, you'll need part number COB AP3-SUB-001

A:  You would still be able to use it as a code reader, multi gauge, and data logger for your vehicle. However, you will want to check with your tuner to make sure using the Accessport will not interfere with their tune.
