  • Q: boost  SLUGGO 1977 4 years ago

    Answer

how much boost could they handle

    • A: There is no pressure or power rating on pistons. Reason is that they will fail as a result of detonation before cylinder pressures become an issue. And if cylinder pressures are an issue, your cylinder walls will fail first.

  • Q: why   warlord_x69 5 years ago

    Answer

Hi guys why is it that a lot of piston manufacturers make these piston for wrx 02 8.5:1 instead of the stock 8.3:1c/r?? Every piston i find is 8.5:1 or 8.0:1

    • A: Much of it will come down to the piston dome design and what each manufacture thinks is the ideal design. As to why the change in CR, that really is not a question with a answer and much of that will depend on the manufactures ideology of what is the best suited CR in their minds.

  • Q: Compression Ratio  Drew Anthony 6 years ago

    Answer

Since these pistons are at a slightly higher compression ration than stock, would this interfere with an Accessport V39 Tune at 91 Octane at all?

    • A: Yes this would effect the tune and you would want to re-calibrate the tune for it accordingly
