  • Q: New OEM Shortblock  wRayth3 months ago

Would these benefit with just a stock rebuild? Car was knocking so I purchased a new OEM block, however my Mechanic recommended to get these, Is there a difference between the lengths?
  • Q: Probably dumb  Mike8016 months ago

Probably dumb but I’m currently in the middle of getting everything together for a frankenmotor ej25 and was hoping that you could tell me if these would work for said build? (Yes I read the other questions about the regular model fit but this is a bit irregular) pic of my ugly multi color gc because it gave me the option.

A:  Without knowing the specifics of your build we cannot confirm fitment. We would recommend reaching out to one of our Customer Service Representatives in regards to your fitment question.

  • Q: Nuts  rhd_eli1 year ago

These have new nuts pictured in the third picture if I’m not mistaken. I know the question has been asked, but it was also answered saying it only comes with what is pictured. So do they come with new nuts or not? And if not, where would one find new nuts for these?
    • 6 of 6 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The answer, to end all answers, to end all speculation, TO BE THE BEARER OF TRUTH!! These do come with new nuts!

  • Q: What is the maximum engine HP these studs can be used safely?   Lagg-Alot1 year ago

I have 430whp. I think I would be ok with these studs. But If I add more power in near future, what would you recommend is the highest whp before should I go with a stronger stud?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Anything more and I would recommend going with the 625+.

  • Q: Fitment  turbomacncheese1 year ago

Why does the fitment say they won't fit a Saab 92-x Aero, but they'll fit a 2006 WRX? Same engine...
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It should fit no problem but we just don't have everything listed that this can fit.

  • Q: Head Studs  CSautoSVC2 years ago

  • Q: 05 sti rebuild  sob3ygrime631863 years ago

  • Q: Torque specs?  dsfi10640613 years ago

I was wondering what the torque specs are for these studs. I'm seeing different specs all over the internet. Some say not over 85 ft lbs and some say up to 95 ft lbs. I'm aware of the sequence, but what is the maximum torque value?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Following the manufacturers recommended torque sequence, tighten the nuts in 3 equal steps to 90 ft lbs.

  • Q: HP strength?  NightwingSTI3 years ago

compared to the custom age 625+ kit, what are differences in strength / hp capacity in this set? Looking for a max 400awhp build, with as much reliability as possible.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The 625+ will have a higher tensile strength but there is no specific horsepower figure. For a 400whp build these standard studs should be plenty and I don't believe we have ever seen a failure in head studs at that power level.

do you know the tightening specs for the studs?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Install the studs hand tight into the block and clean/chase the threads in the block if necessary. Following the manufacturer's recommended torque sequence, tighten the nuts in three equal steps to 90 ft lbs with ARP ULTRA-TORQUE FASTENER ASSEMBLY LUBRICANT.

  • Q: nuts?  spawkum4 years ago

Do these come with nuts? If not do you guys sell them?
  • Q: What exactly are these for?  chukb20125 years ago

I am looking to replace my oem headbolts, and i just want the studs / bolts. are these a direct replacement? how come both sides are open unlike in the bigger arp kit where they have the stud on them?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These studs hold the heads to the block and will be a direct replacement for the stock head bolts. These are studs instead of bolts and that is why they do not have a bolt head on them.

  • Q: One time use?  Torey A.6 years ago

Is it ok to reuse these studs/bolts?
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  There is no problem to re-use them but you will want to check the stretch on the bolt after each use to ensure its not beyond its plastic deformation limit of the alloy.
