Great product but the noise is not a significant step up from factory BOV in my STI. Also with this product I'm developing turbo flutter at low rpm boost.
At 100% atmosphere this thing makes a ruckus! It's nice that it is adjustable (in case you get sick of the noise). My one complaint is that you have to re-use part of the return for the old BOV. Not sure if this is because it is different on various vehicles, but it was a real pain to get off without damaging it..
Purchased this and attempted to install on my 2009 STI. Had to reinstall my old recirc valve after attempting to remove the 2 SCREWS(yes, Subaru used 2 garbage quality screws to hold the return elbow to the recirc valve) to swap the elbow to the BOV. After using the correct crossed tip screwdriver with minimal effort, the screws stripped not allowing me to swap the elbow over. The quality of the BOV is excellent. A little over priced to be using recycled parts off my old recirc valve though. Recommend to install if your engine compartment is relatively new and clean with easy to remove hardware.
Took about 15 min. to install and another 10 to adjust. One word of advice is to take your time removing stock Philips head screws on elbow they are made of a soft metal and will strip easily.
It looks badass in my 2005 sti. It works great, and preforms great too. Can handle a lot of pressure, and the sound is just what I was looking for. Fits perfect, and takes maybe 5 minutes to install. It comes with the new gasket, new bolts, and allen wrench which is a really nice. I love how its adjustable. I think that's such a good design. You can tune it to exactly what you want. No sound to loud and proud. I can't find any flaws in it, and I'm really picky when it comes to my sti. Its a little heavier than i was thinking, but well worth the money. Really strong and the black looks so nice.

A: Honestly just leave it alone unless you've done something that is going to affect the vacuum the engine produces. Ie cams, headwork etc.. Thanks

A: It would depend on which flange is on the intercooler. If the flange matches up it would work great.
