PERRIN Throttle Body Hose Red
Subaru WRX 2002-2007 / STI 2004+
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct carries a great selection of aftermarket performance products brought to you by PERRIN Performance.
Here, you are looking at the PERRIN Performance Throttle Body Coupler. Over time and mileage, your factory intercooler coupler can become dry and crack over time due to engine vibration, and like all things, it can become deteriorated due to the elements. This could cause boost leak issues which will certainly limit your performance.

Needed to replace stock coupler. Fits well and seemed easier to reinstall the TMIC. 2008 STI

I bought this, a Perrin throttle body hose, and a Perrin turbo inlet hose for my 07 WRX. They went in with some Cobb (ID) 1050 fuel injectors and a Grimmspeed boost controller. I would add that it feels like it added 25hp on the butt dyno ;) In fairness, I had a mechanic install all of this (and a Cobb tune, too, needed for the injectors). In all seiousness, this hose is a quality piece and fit fine.

Install was super easy and everything fit perfect. I had a small boost leak and this fixed it, now I'm holding all 17 psi

I bought this hose a while ago (07/03/15) and it's worked 'fine' since. No rips, tears, etc. The main problem with the hose is that it's too short. I'm not sure of the OEM length, but the Perrin one seemed 1" to 1.5" short. I later took my car to a shop for some testing (before buying more performance parts) and failed a boost leak test because of this hose. Now, I will say that technically this was my first time installing this hose, so human error is possible. However, it was an very simple install, the hose was very short (see photo), and both clamps barely fit. All in all, build quality is great, nice and thick - seems durable. But it's too short for it to work properly. I'd have been better off buying bulk silicone hose and using that. Photos: 1.) Blue hose is the one that came with my car, unknown brand. 2.) Red Perrin hose installed on the TMIC and throttle body - the included clamps barely fit. 3.) Showing that the hose is around 2" - seemingly too short.

Looks good, fits well, good quality! Wish there were a few less threads on the clamp bolts though.
