This intake system has been designed to be a direct replacement for the factory intake system to increase both horsepower and torque while reducing the turbo lag and increasing the throttle response. This is all possible by allowing the turbocharger to inhale a larger volume of air without the restriction associated with the factory intake box.

The sound this thing makes when it sucks in air and you can hear stock BOV a lot better. Was difficult to install kinda but in the end it was all worth it. Great Buy.

The description does not lie. It has such a satisfying sound when it sucks up air, and YES I can hear my stock bov at a very satisfying volume. So glad I didn't spend money on a aftermarket one. Installation is simple until you get to the fender. Takes some effort fitting it through the opening But the nightmare really starts with the filter and bracket it hangs on. The oil makes it difficult to feel and move the filter on to the pipe which wouldn't be so bad if the visibility wasn't poor inside the fender and the clamp had wing nuts so you could tighten it down with your hand instead of trying to fit tools inside in a desperate attempt to get a grip before either the filter slides off the pipe, or bracket. That being said, I give the sound and performance a 6 (if I could) installation a 3 after tearing my hair out.

A: No, this is the OEM size at the MAF sensor, a 3inch intake would be considered a "Big MAF" intake. Hope this helps and let us know if you have any questions! :)
