Quick and easy to install, took less than 5 mintues. Installed it on a 07 Legacy GT and had 0 issues with the car (no cel/no tune) it was about time to replace the filter and i wanted a more 'performance' filter over OEM.

This was a straightforward easy install. Open the airbox, remove the old filter, replace with new perrin filter panel, close airbox. No noticeable power gains or difference in sound. Just another way to spend money on your wrex.

Got this over the OEM because of the massive amounts of dust my WRX inhales living on dirt roads. This filter dropped right in place of the OEM filter, comes pre oiled and everything, all you have to do is take off the air ram and pop the two clips holding the air box together. Took less than 5 minutes! I noticed somewhere that Perrin recommends using UNI filter oil with the filter when washing it, however, with the amount of dust my car inhales I've found the PJ1 and Bel Ray filter oils I use on my dirtbikes do a better job trapping the dirt and debris. Awesome filter if your WRX spends more time off road and you're worried about excess dust getting in the intake!

A: Cleaning will vary depending on driving conditions. Typically you will want to check the filter at the same time as your oil change. We highly recommend checking your factory service manual to determine cleaning/changing intervals.

A: A drop in filter on 08+ WRX and STi's will change the AFR, so it is a possibility. To prevent any issues we suggest getting a re-tune to run anything other then the factory filter.
