This is the PERRIN Performance Radiator Shroud. This shroud has been designed to improve the overall cooling efficiency by channeling the incoming airflow to make direct contact with the face of the radiator. Typically under driving conditions, the air would hit the face of the radiator and then get deflected in all other directions. The shroud prevents the air from getting deflected into the engine bay forcing more air to stay in contact with the radiator.
Additionally, other benefits include improved engine bay aesthetics, along with a place to put your tools while performing maintenance.

The install would of been a lot easier but we had to do some drilling. If anyone has hood pins running with anything like a carbon fiber hood such as my self, be aware that you will need to drill out holes to close the hood. A 10 minute install took us 2 hours to get the fitment right and close the hood properly on my vehicle but if you do not have any hood pins this install should go quick and relatively easy. Perrin has some of the lack full instructions I have ever seen so if you need help for install I would YouTube it and can find a few detailed videos if needed. Quality feel a bit cheap IMO. It does look and clean up that area in the engine bay.
Perrin makes a nice shroud. They do include instructions on how to secure the shroud to the car but not on how to assemble the shroud. Remember to use the supplied foam pieces at each end (I forgot initially and had to install the piece twice). The piece feels nice and sturdy and looks great once installed. I had to do some minor shaving of the shroud for the hood to close properly but overall I'm please with this piece.

Will this fit over the Koyo Aluminum Racing Radiator (P# KOY VH091662) and Koyo 1.3 Bar High Pressure Radiator Cap Hyper Red (P#KOY SK-C13) with the Perrin Radiator Hose Kit Red (P#PER1 PSP-ENG-515RD) on a 2015 STI? Thanks.
