This mount looks great, unfortunately one of the inner nuts broke that are welded to the inside. The fact that you have to take it apart before installing at this price point makes it not worth it in my opinion. I ended up going with the IAG solid mount. I like Perrin products and will count the broken mount as a fluke. I would recommend a mount with the studs facing down like the oem unit.

This is the first time I will be giving something I have purchased from RSD less than 5 stars. It pains me to write this, because I have never had anything but fantastic experiences with the multiple Perrin parts I own, but this one did not meet my expectations. Now, I'll preface this by saying that once I actually found a way to make it work, it does a fantastic job at keeping the drivetrain tight, shifts are smooth, and the added vibration is fairly minimal. Upon install, one of the nuts, which are tack-welded to the mount, broke off with minimal torque while attempting to bolt it to the crossmember. I had to remove the transmission crossmember completely, and have a friend hold the nut in place while I threaded the bolt into it and torqued it down to the crossmember. Once I did that, I was able to install the entire unit--mount and crossmember--back onto the car, which of course was a PITA because the crossmember being in the way made it difficult to bolt the mount itself onto the transmission. Unfortunately, I had no other choice but to make this work because my stock mount was totally shot and needed to be replaced ASAP. I'm disappointed that the welds on something that is frequently under a load could be so weak, especially since the Perrin unit is one of the more experience--if not most expensive--transmission mounts available for Subarus. If someone from Perrin sees this, I would suggest you reevaluate your quality control policies. The only reason this product is not receiving one star is because it does work as advertised after some improvisation to get it installed.

Good quality craftsmanship. No issues installing the part. There is a slight increase in vibration. Item was well packaged an shipped quickly. Always a pleasure doing business with RSD.

Definitely adds a positive feel to the drive train. Obviously adds more nvh, but doesn't seem too significant except sometimes when I lift throttle I can hear gear whine.

I was having a problem blowing my front right axle 3 times and could not figure why. Turned out to be my trans mount and motor mounts were creamed. So I ordered this trans mount and everything is much better. Shifts are great and solid. Ofcorse u feel the vibration and hear the trans doing its job as well. Over all I'm very happy I got this and recommend to anyone even if your stock. The stock trans mount is a joke, it's a rubber band compared to this. Doesn't take long at all. Also don't forget to buy the isolator bushings for the mount and crossmember.

A: This is similar in design to Torque Solution's traditional style transmission mount, with the Perrin having a slightly softer bushing. Torque Solution's solid mount will be the most rigid of all of those options, but will have the most noticeable noise, vibration, and harshness. The STI mount is a significant upgrade over stock, but will be the softest of the four options, with the least noticeable NVH.
