This is a fairly simple install for something that completely changed the feel of my clutch and breaks. My clutch engagement now feels like a normal car instead of being Subaru squishy and engaging almost at the floor.

Brake response noticeably feels better after the install. The install itself was something I’d not wish on anyone. This would be best to do if you’re changing out the fuel delivery system or have the motor lifted entirely. It’s not at all fun otherwise.

INSTALL WAS TIGHT. Nothing caused by Perrins product, just the subaru engine bay being very crammed. Highly reccomend this product even if you dont track your car. I was on edge about getting it but now im happy I went with it.

Helped slightly with with the poor brake pedal feel in my 2012 WRX by eliminating any noticeable firewall flex. Nicely made and reasonably easy to install.

Significant improvement with braking. No longer feel my cylinder bending down from sheet metal flex. Only down side is lengthy install. Not from difficulty of install, just time consuming

How does this part for the WRX differ from the one that is compatible with the STI? Can one be used for the other?

A: It looks like the difference is the fuel related bracket. WRX has a bracket for fuel lines, STI/Legacy/Outback XT has a bracket for the FPR.

A: I would recommend this part, but not in regards to the firewall flex issue. Although this does prevent some flexing of the firewall, it's not in the right spot to do anything to prevent the cracking. But with that said, this is still an awesome mod and is certainly worth the price! :)
