Turpid Porpoise
I recently installed a built motor and had a buddy of mine hold down the brake pedal while I torqued the ATI balancer into place; this is exactly what prompted me to buy this product. When I saw the ridiculous amount of firewall flex occurring while he held down the brake pedal I knew that I was losing braking performance even if I hadn't really noticed yet. I did not have any trouble installing mine as all of the OEM FPR and dampers have been removed in favor of AN hoses and an adjustable FPR; I had mine installed in less than 30 minutes working alone. After installing I sat in the drivers seat to bleed the brakes and all I can say is WOW. Immediate pedal pressure the second I apply any force to the brake pedal. The pedal now feels incredibly solid and firm and I can't wait to put it on the track and feel the difference as I confidently approach corners at high speeds.

Installed this with SS Brake Lines and DOT4 AMS High Temp Fluid and WOW! Big difference! Great response and looks awesome with the matching black Perrin Radiator Shroud, Alternator Shroud, Boost Solenoid Shroud, and Radiator Stays!

I purchase almost solely Perrin performance parts for my 2012 sti, and this is yet again another quality part. Install is a giant headache, and if you've got anger management issues.... as I found out I apparently do after doing this install.... then it's best to have two people. Install instructions lacked a bit of clarity, and the 12 model had some differences from the pictures, but if you use a bit of common sense you'll get through. I hadn't really noticed any braking issues when I purchased this part, but am currently setting my car up for track use. After installing the part, it was very clear that the firewall was indeed flexing, I just hadn't been aware of it. Performs well, huge pain for an install, but you'll be happy with the results.

This thing does what it is meant to do. It doesnt do much but it didnt really say it does much. it does firm up the pedal a good bit but thats all. So not a necessary part but if you like the fine details like me then this is what you want. Easy but time consuming install. It wasnt too bad tho. definitely reccomend if you want that fine pedal crispness.
