This is the PERRIN Coolant Hose Adapter which allows users to have a safe provision to install an aftermarket water temperature gauge. This is a 38mm adapter which has been designed to sit between one of your preferred coolant hoses. Installation would require you to cut your hose and slip each end onto the adapter where the provided worm clamps will secure the hose down. This adapter will have a 1/8 NPT provision to host your aftermarket water temp gauge sensor.
It will come in an anodized black finish for extra protection against corrosion, and to provide a clean look to your engine bay.

Made in Taiwan as stated on the packaging. Nothing against that but sharp edges beneath the 1/8 hole on the inside with metal shavings. Threads are short and might not be suitable for sensors which are long like those from Defi. Compared to the Greddy one, this one seems to be cheaply produced. Not worth the price tag.

Is the thread pitch 1/8 PT or 1/8 NPT? The description differs from the detail specs. Looking to use with a Defi gauge sensor (1/8 PT i think).

A: Some sensors will have a bracket to help hold the sensor in the unit. That screw is designed for that.
