Features & Product Details

This is the Ultimate Ultimate Ultimate Killer B Motorsport Oil Pan Package.

Killer B Motorsport Aluminum Oil Pan:
The Killer B Motorsport V4 Performance Cast Oil pan is designed to reliably meet the demands of high-performance Subaru Engines used on street or track applications.

  • This Oil Pan holds an extra 1.4 quarts of oil, over 30% increase in capacity over the OEM one. This Oil Pan was designed to work with their Ultimate Oil Pickup (OEM ones are known to break), but can be modified to work with the OEM pickup.
  • This oil pan works with almost all headers and all are fit and leak tested before leaving Killer B Motorsport. There have been reported issues of fitment issues with some Invidia headers, but not all.
  • Each pan comes with an OEM sized drain port as well as one 1/2" NPT Port. You will need to get a plug for the NPT port if you don't plan on using a quick drain valve or anything else.
  • OEM Belly pan will need to have a small piece trimmed on some models.
  • Turbo EJ20 engines will need to change to the STi dipstick and tube or simply mark the old dipstick with a new full mark.

  • Killer B Motorsport Oil Baffle Windage Tray:
Features and Advantages of the Killer B Motorsport Windage Tray / Baffle over the OEM piece.

  • Closed rear section to prevent oil from sloshing into the crank under hard acceleration and aggressive shifts.
  • Block contoured profile to minimize oil returning from the heads interfering with the crank
  • Directional louvers prevent oil in the pan from splash/sloshing into the crank.
  • Low profile design to control windage and strip oil from the crank immediately to reduce oil “roping” on the crank.
  •  Improved oil entry to the pan/pickup to help prevent oil starvation.
  • Made from stainless steel for long life, durability and corrosion resistance.

  • So what’s all this mean? It means more power due to the reduction in oil interfering with the rotation of the crank and allowing it to spin more freely. Unless it’s in the bearings, anytime oil comes in contact with the cranks or connecting rods it robs power. Reduction of oil splashing and beating off crank & connection rods will also lower oil temperatures.

Killer B Motorsport Ultimate Oil Pickup:
We have all heard the horror stories. You’re just driving down the road minding your own business and then boom your engine blows without warning.

  • This ULTIMATE OIL PICKUP uses a .12” thick double bracket, 3X OEM oil pickup tube thickness and a brace between bracket and oil pickup tube to further strengthen the assembly. This is a super duty, engineered solution. No other vendor has anything this rugged available.
  • Works with all Turbo EJ25 motors in the WRX/STI as well as some others cars with OEM oil pans as well as the Killer B Oil Pan. Turbo EJ20 cars will need to have a Turbo EJ25 oil pan installed to use this pickup.
  • 2004-2005 Forester XT and 2005 Legacy GT / OXT will need to verify their oil pan before ordering. In late 2005 Subaru changed the sump on those cars to match the Impreza lineup.

Killer B Motorsport Aluminum Oil Pan Package ( Part Number: PPBC)
Killer B Motorsport Aluminum Oil Pan Package ( Part Number: PPBC)
Great product. Adds reliability and piece of mind. 2 months ago
    5out of 5stars

The Killer B oil pickup tube is a must on EJ motors, as the stock ones fail, starving your engine of oil. I went ahead with the whole package, as I thought since I was going through the whole process to install the pan, why not get some added oil capacity. The install is a PITA, but a quick note. This install is much easier with rounded long allen keys. My t-handles were just a little too short to make this easy for me. Also, you do not need to remove the center heat shields on the headers when removing them. Just the outer ones next to where the manifold bolts to the head. As to past mentions of bad quality hardware. I have no complaints with what I received, but they could have changed what is included.

    Confidence Restored! 7 months ago
    5out of 5stars

The OEM oil pickup in my 2014 wrx cracked at 28k miles which led to oil starvation and soon after a broken connector rod. I had changed the hq synthetic oil every 4k miles. After speaking with my shop-owning friends and reading about how common this problem is with the EJs, I decided to reinforce my engine's oil system with the Killer B set. The installation took a day and I'm glad I can confidently push the engine. NOTE: This pan sits lower than the OEM, be cautious if you have a lowered car!

Essential for the track 9 months ago
    5out of 5stars

Great upgrade for any EJ motor! Adds a fair bit of oil capacity, aids in cooling, helps with getting oil under significant G force, and is a fairly easy install. I think this is essential for tracking with sticky tires.

Install is pretty straight forward. Do you self a favor and buy a non Aluminum drain plug. One of the best deals you will find out there.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: 2 models oil pans?  PhilBarnak3 months ago

Is there any way to have a oil pan that is plate welded instead of cast? Thanks
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We do not stock one from Killer B, but we do have a couple of Moroso options available. It is also possible that Killer B is able to make a plate welded version of the pan, but it would be a special order item.

A:  We do make both versions, but I have to ask... Why are you looking for the fabricated version? The fab version sells to those who have an appreciation for fabrication; weld art or a high level of craftsmanship. If you have concerns with the cast version being inferior, let me put you at ease with that concern. The material, grade, heat treat (2 cycles), and design mean that the cast version is stronger and tougher. Performance and function wise, there is no difference between the two versions. Please feel free to shoot us an e-mail if you have any more questions and thanks for considering our product!

A:  I've seen it done without, it's much more difficult, the engine needs to be jacked up quite a bit more, and you need 3 hands and a good tool selection. Removing the header will actually save you a whole bunch of frustration in my opinion.

    • Q: Killer B oil pan  Khal3 months ago

I understand the pan have 2 ports. If i use the OEM drain plug for one port, can the other fit a Defi oil temp sensor directly? Or is there an adapter required?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  While you should be able to find a way to make the defi oil temp work, we cannot guarantee it being a direct fitment.

A:  We do sell oil plug adapters that will allow you to install the Defi oil temp sensor in the other (1/2NPT) drain port.

    • Q: 2015 STI  PWRIII5 months ago

is there way to plug both Oil Temp and Oil Pressure into the oil pan? I also still want to have a way to drain oil without having to unplug sensors. right now i am using a sand-which plate but do not like how close that makes the filter headers.
      • 0 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Your best option is the oil sandwich plate unless you want to modify pan.

A:  Pressure needs to be measured after the pump. We always recommend the port under the alternator as it is JUST before feeding any bearings. For the temp, in the pan is where you want to be as it measures the oil temps going INTO the engine. Anywhere else will have other influences involved.
