Features & Product Details

For high-powered applications EXEDY offers Multi plate clutches. These are designed for hot street action as well as drag, road, and rally racing. All of our multi plate clutches come with a lightweight chromoly steel flywheel, and the famous purple anodized forged aluminum clutch cover. All have T5001 cerametallic friction materials for extreme heat resistance.

Kit includes clutch disc, heavy duty pressure plate, and alignment tool. Bearings sold separately.

This was my first triple disc--though I've had double discs before (some good, some not). I also used this with ACT Monoloc + ACT throw-out (full disclosure). PROS: -Butter smooth engagement -Light as stock pedal feel -Engagement is shorter than stock (obviously) but is very easy to get used to -Break-in took no time at all CONS: -As expected with any multi-disc, LOUD (not sure how much would have been damped out with the sound deadening I removed). Also, not bad cruising, just when stopped/accelerating. Haven't had a chance to te

    Im building a 550 to 650 hp actually my sti has a pte 6766 turbo kit and my current clutch is ACT 6 puck heavy duty,, do i need to replace it to this clutch stage 5 or i keep the ACT as well .. By the way the ACT its chatter alot .. Thanks

      A:  The ACT Heavy Duty 6 puck is rated for 660ft/lbs at the crank and you will more than likely exceed that. This clutch kit is rated for 766 ft/lbs at the wheels and has more than enough capacity for your goals.

    Im building a 600 hp DD how harsh will this clutch be in terms of NVH and to actually engage compared to stock?

      A:  The NVH on this will be alot more compared to stock as the multidisk can tend to chatter a little bit during engagement, as clutch pedal feel it will be significantly stiffer than stock.

    what the diference of the multi plate and triple plate does it make the gear changes faster can u explained for me a little about the stage 4 and 5 please thx..

      A:  The higher the number of discs given the same friction disc material the larger the torque capacity as you are increasing the friction surface area. It has no effect on gear changes, or how fast you can shift. It only effects how much tq the clutch can hold
