Features & Product Details

The Competition Clutch Stage 3 Multi Plate Twin Organic Clutch Kit is a great clutch kit for those who need a clutch that can hold high amounts of horsepower without comprising daily drivability. This clutch kit uses twin 240MM full faced discs that are combined with a high-performance pressure plate that can provide the friction needed for those with moderate bolt-ons, or a full rotated kit.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Q: noise  AB5 months ago

i currently have the competition twin disc with ceramic discs that make awful screeches/squeals when taking and excessive disc rattle for a daily driver. how does this clutch compare in terms of noise with organic discs to the ceramic and also to the stage 1 organic? my car does not exceed 700wtq
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will be just as noisy due to the multi-plate design but will not have the squeal when taking off from a light.

  • Q: Pull Vs. Push  2016 STi8 months ago

I am confused. This kit says its been converted to a push instead of a pull type pressure plate but it only comes with the pressure plate, clutch discs, and flywheel??? . How are you supposed to install it with out the need parts to change the movement of the release bearing?? Are the needed parts available somewhere else? Do you have a link? Also if I am not mistaken the picture of the pressure plate sure looks like a pull type and not a push. Thanks for your help.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We apologize for the confusion here this kit is a pull style clutch kit, not a conversion. Our website has this listed incorrectly, we are getting this updated currently.

  • Q: Clutch Fitment  jpgriffin942 years ago

This clutch says it fits an 04 STI but also states it is push style converted from pull. I am looking for a high power holding pull style clutch for my 05 WRX with swapped in JDM V7 STI 6 speed. Will this work?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, we cannot confirm fitment for JDM parts as we did not get them here in the US.

  • Q: Fitment  2015sti2 years ago

Hello. What else is needed to bolt this up to a 2015 sti?
  • Q: drive-ability, noise life span  FrankF2 years ago

As far as drive-ability is concerned how do the organic and ceramic versions compare? How is the noise compared to a exedy twin disc? what are the pro's and cons of the organic vs ceramic. Is one heavier or nosier than the other? Does one last longer than the other? Would you recommend for a daily driver?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  To answer your questions in order, the organic and ceramic clutches compare in the way that they are both very street able and easy to work with in a street driven performance car. Engagement is super easy and gives you the control you are looking for. Ceramic is going to be a clutch disc where once it's engaged. It's locked in and ready to go. Not much slip or give being that it's made to take abuse and be the performance/race lineup for us. Organic is great for a driver car that has high power but spends a good amount of time on the street. Ceramic is good for the street but doesn't have that built in slip like organic. Noise level on these is there made to be a quieter better performing clutch. Noise won't be a huge factor in these clutches! Would recommend these for a daily driver setup for sure. They run great and can handle whatever you throw at them! Hope this helps.
