Other then the fixed piston ring compressor rings. This the next best thing and works just as well. I have used many different ring compressors and this is the best one I have ever used on the many Subaru engines I have built. Thx RSD and Company 23.

Great product. I had a difficult time with the older style ones that ended with me bending a piston ring. This part pays for itself. It is so easy to install. Just measure up to the size of the bore and shove the piston in with your bare hands/thumbs. Done. 5/5 great.
