**Edited my review because I got in contact with Moroso. So emailed Moroso about the hair line crack that developed on mine and they agreed to send me a new one! -This at the expense of sending the old one back, completely understandable. Customer support replied fast and got a new one to my door within 2 days shipping! No extra charge except shipping back on the old one. Welds look "tighter" on this one than the one I bought prior! Hopefully this helps and doesn't leak ever. (Bought this one after reading the horror stories of the Mishi ones cracking, thinking this one was better quality. Sadly after 2 years (purchased 5/22/19) this one has cracked and am SOL because of no lifetime warranty. Honestly might aswell have dealed with Mishi ones cause atleast they have lifetime but as things sit might have to spend more money on OEM plastic ones, which at this rate should've done from the start.. )

So I bought a moroso coplant expansion tank a couple months ago, and now I’m having problems with the cap leaking. I drive a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0L. The tank comes with the standard 14-18lbs cap, when I’m driving normal speed limits it’s fine no leaking cap. When I “get on it” some maybe 3200rpms the most from 3rd to 4. I don’t drive my car hard at all usually at all. A couple of days ago I spoke to a rep from a site that sells the same product for Moroso. We both came to the conclusion that maybe I should get the upgraded cap with a higher pressure range so the 19-21lbs cap. Put the cap on this morning went for a ride. At first I drove at normal speed to my destination parked and popped the hood, no leaks. On my way home I exhibited a more spirited drive shifting around 3200rpms etc. I get home I pull into my driveway popped the hood and I noticed it leaking from the new cap I just put on. I’m not sure what is happening other than when I filled the reservoir up we filled it completely to the rim. And I understand that the cap has a spring inside of it that compresses and expands once the pressure range of the cap is exceeded, maybe the expansion tank cap is bleeding the system at the same time of the excess fluid it does not need while doing so? I’m not sure but I’m keeping an eye on my temperature needle in the car while I’m driving it seemed to be fine which attributed to my belief that the system may be self bleeding via the cap’s spring and ridding itself of the excess fluid once above the car is above the optimal pressure range of the cap. It isn’t a constant leak, sometimes it leaks, sometimes it doesn’t. When I drive normally (regular speed limits) seems to be ok, when I “get on it” some is when I’m noticing the leaking of coolant.

Bought this tank because my stock metal one was leaking at the base of the filler neck. Install was very easy, prolly a 2 out of 5 on difficulty. The tank fits perfect, however you will need to trim your rubber hoses so that they are not kinked after you install them on fittings. Install took less time than I expected. I would grab a couple new screw style hose clamps before install. Ended up having to replace one because it was leaking. The top two small hoses fit well without leakage, but the larger hoses might need a better clamp. Simple stuff. Very happy with the quality of this product. Keep in mind that the cap installs differently than stock, need to turn once, then push down and turn again till the tabs butt up against the stops on the filler next. Very easy, just pay attention. Mine even had paper instructions on how to install the cap properly.
