Just got it in today and installed it. The car has not seen 184 yet. Which is what I use to run at. But I'm gonna go for a hard drive an see how it does but so far its excellent.
I bought it originally to replace a stock thermostat. During installation I noticed the currently installed Thermostat was also the 154 degree Mishimoto. I just thought maybe it was a bad one as I didn't know when it was installed. About 4 months later, My car began to overheat again. This time I installed an OEM thermostat. Not worth your time.
I bought the thermostat and installed into my car with a mishimoto radiator. Two days later the car began overheating and I stopped to let it cool off. Contemplating getting a tow i tried to drive it again and ended up being the thermostat was stuck . The product performed well but lasted a mere 2 days. I reccomend you stick with OEM as this could have cause engine failure in the ej25 motor with the increasing high temperatures, my car saw up to 245 degree coolant temp. I reccomend you do not buy this thermostat.
Bought this because i started a new job that requires me to drive my stage 2 bugeye 100 miles a day. The Xline radiator alone brought my temps down about 10 degrees from 195 to 185 and now with the thermostat im running about 20 degrees cooler at 165. I wasnt able to use the gasket thats included because i couldnt get it to seat properly so i had to re use the oem subaru gasket but its okay because i only put it in two months ago. Today it also threw the P0128 code on the way home so i might try and alter the water temp scaling. Great product overall i feel much more confident driving this thing 100 miles a day.
Recieved the product and was impressed how well packaged it was and how it was ready to install. Quick and easy install and works awesome. Car gets max 208* and when I am running it hard in boost, it runs down to 158*. Of course I installed it in the winter so others may experience it differently. I would recoomend this thermostat to anyone building a performance Subaru.

Q: PO128? bug eye bob 1 year ago
I was wondering if running this thermostat could throw a PO128 coolant code as the car wouldn't hit ideal running temps soon enough on a cold winter night or just a cold start

A: Yes this can cause that code to be thrown, these arent recommended if you live in a cold climate or somewhere where freezing or below freezing temps are normal.

Q: OEM vs Mishimoto Racing Terhmostat Chair2 years ago
I daily drive a 2013 WRX with a Stage 2+ SF OTS tune from Cobb. I have a short ram intake, COBB downpipe, with Invidia cat back exhaust. I just installed the Mishimoto X-Line Radiator and Racing Thermostat. Should I reinstall the OEM thermostat now that I'm getting P0128 check engine code?

A: I have the same issue. I installed a CSF radiator and this thermostat and I keep getting the P0128 error code. I dont know if I should be concerned. Maybe the combo is working too well... I keep resetting my ECU to get rid of the code but it will pop up every few days... anyone else have any input? Do I need to be worried?

A: Yes, this thermostat will open earlier than stock. That said, a larger radiator, coolant additive such as Redline Water Wetter, and burping the cooling system would also be good steps to take.
