  Is this TMI carb approved and legal to us on CA streets ? Do you see any Carb legal TMI?

    A:  These do not require CARB approval, so they wont have a CARB number as they don't alter the emissions in any reasonable way. Now in regards to legality, you would want to check with your state and local laws. Thanks.

  I have a relatively stock engine in my 2004 STi, just a short ram intake and a cat back exhaust. Would you recommend it as a stock replacement. I don't run an accessport so I've never tuned the car.

• Q: Mishimoto Top Mount Intercooler   shiroikage2 years ago

  Looking to replace my old and aesthetically challenged STi Intercooler on my car. The car is basically stock with just an SPT intake and Cobb catback exhaust, so I don't run an accessport. Would this replacement be a drop in that the stock engine management be able to cope with? I bought the car brand new back in 2003 and the stock 300hp was always enough for me. Money was thrown only at suspension, brakes and handling.

    A:  This will work perfectly fine with your setup. Although a tune will obviously give you the most of this upgrade.

  How many charge rows does this top mount have. The ETS TMIC says it has 31 rows. How would these two intercoolers compare to each other on cooling performance.

    A:  Unfortunately it is hard to compare technical specs as it is something that Mishimoto currently does not have listed (https://www.mishimoto.com/subaru-wrx-sti-top-mount-intercooler-kit-01-07.html) however both are great intercoolers. Honestly just depends on which you like more for quality.

• Q: Size of throttle body T-bolt clamp  skyethesubiguy4 years ago

  I was woundeing what is the part number for the 4 T-bolt clamps or the size of 2 thottle body T-bolt clamps need a new set the ones i got broke and were striped out thanks RSD

    A:  This intercooler kit includes (X2) 3 inch, (x1) 2.75 inch and (x1) 2.25 inch T-Bolt Clamps.
