Features & Product Details

RallySport Direct proudly carries a great selection of performance automotive cooling solutions brought to you by Mishimoto.

Here, you are looking at the Mishimoto Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit. This is a great way to reduce your oil temperatures for improved performance along with extended engine life. For example, if you like to participate in the occasional weekend track event in your daily driver, or if you have a track-dedicated race car, your engine will stay in the upper- RPM range for the majority of the session which means that your oil temps will climb. The risk is that oil can get so hot it loses its viscosity and lubrication properties which can lead to engine damage or engine failure. The Mishimoto Oil Cooler Kit performs an excellent job of providing supplementary oil cooling to keep those oil temperatures at bay.

Just installed this on my SG9 STi, fits without trimming or cutting the hoses, but I had to drill 2 holes to fit the brackets (one for top left and one for bottom, needs a long bolt or you can fab your own bracket). The XT runs the same motor more or less so should fit those, too. Only thing that I don’t like is that the adhesive on the heat wrap does not stick very well, so added a few metal clamps to be safe. Been running the equivalent on my 2012 STi with great results, too.

So the install wasn't bad but I had a oil leak as soon as I started the car only because of the washers that came with the kit, a rubber coding on the washer wasn't any good.. but other then that it's a awesome kit

A:  Hey Jason, unfortunately we are unable to verify fitment with your JDM STI. I would look at the factory oil cooler adapter that is between the engine block and your oil filter. If the lines on that adapter face down 90 degrees towards the ground this kit will not fit on your car. If you have any other questions please feel free to email us at [email protected]!

    • Q: sensor ports  rubensahagunjr907447 years ago

how many 1/8 NPT sensor ports does this sandwich plate have
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The sandwich plate adapter in this kit has one 1/8NPT port, which is on the side. The port on the front is only used for machining/manufacturing purposes and a sensor cannot be installed there.
