My OEM hose was leaking above 7psi. Swapped it out, no more leaks. It took me about 20 minutes start to finish. Much thicker than the OEM hose, and costs less. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a sticker.
It was indeed a royal PITA to install. 4 hours w/ lotz of bruising on the forearm, bloody knuckles, stiff back and leg aches. Took the car next day for a test drive and noticed an odd sound, I looked on the hose and noticed that that hose on the TB side wasn't really on and no wonder I noticed when tightening the worm clamp that it keeps on turning and no resistance. So I re-installed and re-align the angle which took me an hour or so vs the 1st time doing it was like 4 hours, the dimple of my install was like around 7 or 8 o'clock. Picture attached is the final, TB to intercooler came short but was able to feel resistance when tightening my clamp and assuming it won't come off and I have a feeling it won't. Took it for a test drive did some couple of pulls and oh boy I noticed a better pick up response time, my turbo laag prior to the mishimoto was very bad, after the install the turbo laag improved and wasn't really noticeable. So in my conclusion all this time my stock TB was leaking??? Lastly I did some re-adjustment on the TB hose dimple now 6 o'clock and somehow was able to better fit it to the intercooler side (see attached). Also noticed my whoose sound is now like a flutter (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBmsmvyTgKs) video attached is exactly the same flutter sound.
So I like this hose, it's a piece of damn rubber, what's not to like. ...BUT BUT BUT do not even think about using this hose with an aftermarket TMIC if the TMIC is wider than stock, like nearly all perrin tmics and perrin clones are, because it becomes literally impossible to line this up correctly with the TMIC. My stock hose actually worked fine with my perrin intercooler, while this hose failed miserably.
Purchase to replace my tomioka racing TB, TR hose was bit longer and had to trim, trimmed too much and was leaking boost. Purchase mishimoto TB hose fitment was perfect, when watching the YouTube video the lettering facing toward the side of the passenger but instead you look at the dimple facing downward and lettering up. Took me 2 hours to figure this out otherwise the cuts are wroth it.
This did not work out to how the tutorial explained. The tmic does not line up correctly to all the holes. I bought this hoping it would fix my leak but it ended being a huge pain to even connect to the throttle body. i've been tweaking it for about 4 hours and nothing the alignment will just get worse. i do not recommend this product at all.
