Features & Product Details
This is the Grimmspeed Master Cylinder Brace that has been designed to reinforce as well as reduce the flex between the brake booster, and the firewall. Under braking, your firewall will flex, which over time can cause damage to the integrity of the firewall and decrease the performance in your braking. This is especially crucial for those of you who participate in high-performance driving conditions where heavy and aggressive braking is natural.
Grimmspeed engineered a solution which is their Master Cylinder Brace which has been designed with the most bracket mounting points available when compared to other aftermarket master cylinder braces. This bracket features CNC Laser Cut 12L14 with multi-point welded fabrication designed with multi factory mounting points. It is then powder-coated in a durable black finish for extra protection against rust and corrosion.
Once installed, you get a highly-reinforced feeling with an immediate braking response. When combined with stainless steel brake lines then you get precise braking performance.
Hardware will be included to make this Master Cylinder Brace ready for the installation.
Note: This will not work on the Legacy GT's that are equipped with the Subaru VDC system.

Just installed this on my 05 legacy gt . Love the brake feel after install but will cause NVH to the body . But if doing brake system upgrade suggest to install this .
I did this mod along with swapping to LGT front brakes in my Outback. The install is super easy, however I did end up snapping one of the bolts in the strut tower off. I would recommend removing your driver's side wheel a day or two before doing the install, and hit the bolts from the back side with a good penetrating fluid. No, not WD-40. Get something good. The bolts tend to seize in there over time. If you have the Fuel line disconnect tool (http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Company23-545-Fuel-Line-Disconnect-Tool) it makes the install super simple. You remove the lines from the intake manifold connection, then remove the holder clips over the ones at the firewall and remove them there too. Then you can pull out the entire fuel pressure regulator assembly. If you don't want to spend $15 on the tool, you can get away with cutting the tip off of a sharpie cap and pushing it down the line, it goes in ~15mm or so. I highly suggest the tool though, especially if you plan on doing a TGV delete. It pays for itself the first time you use it!
This is probably the simplest, most affordable and effective way to improve your brake pedal feel on a 2005-09 Legacy or Outback. Less than 1 hour to install, including dropping bolts... Perfect fit, high quality finish.
