  • Q: 2004 Wrx  adanvillalobossusd3 years ago

Will these fit a 2004 WRX EJ20 with OEM Rods and crank and 138k miles? Any machining involved?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These will fit just fine. These bearings are the OEM spec, but it is recommended that you consult an engine builder to verify machining requirements.

  • Q: Difference between other bearing set?  ironstuner22709745 years ago

What is the difference between this bearing set priced at $92.45 and the other bearing set, part number ACL 5M8309A-STD priced at $42? Also for a motor that will be seeing 450-480whp, which do you recommend?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These are the Race series, which are constructed to better suite higher power/higher RPM operations. For a motor being built to go above the factory power, its suggested to use the race bearings.

What is the difference between journal position #3 and #5. I have not removed my crank yet but where would I find out if I have a #3 or #5?
    • 2 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The location will be either in the middle for position 3 or towards the back for position 5 of the block.
