  • Drop height in the front by 25mm and slightly lower for the rear springs to provide a slightly raked or "nose down" stance
  • Proprietary spring rates
  • The decrease in ride height effectively  lowers the coefficient of gravity as well as the front roll center which inclines the vehicle roll axis further up to the rear

Are these springs designed specifically for the '11+ STI? I ask due to the change in the shocks/struts and want to make sure these are designed to be used specifically with them. Assuming they are, what could one expect out of the average life of their struts with these springs under normal driving conditions?

    • A: Epic designed these springs to work for the 2008-2012 STi. The goal of the Epic Engineering is to give the vehicle a more aggressive stance, and increase the intensity of the driving experience while maintaining a smooth and comfortable ride. With that in mind, Epic designed the springs to work with the factory struts in order to prolong longevity of the factory suspension.

  • Q: Spring Rate?  rao1001 6 years ago

Whats the spring rate of these springs?

    • A: Epic Engineering does not release their spring rates, however the lowering springs for the 2008-2012 STI are going to offer a factory style ride with added performance and control.

  • Q: Rear sags...  redmachine 6 years ago

So I'd like these springs I've seen on the forums that many complain that it's actually the opposite of these creating a slightly lower front and saying they create a butt saging effect, so would a spacer adversly affect them in any way? Also, since they don't publish spring rates like everyone else so people can make better choices and not buy something blind how do these compare with stock springs as far as stiffness/comfort goes?

    • A: I personally would not recommend installing any sort of spacer to counter the sag effect. I personally do not have any first hand experience with the epic springs and how they ride. I am hoping someone with some first hand experience will help us out and let us know how they ride. Thank you.

how much stiffer will these be on my 2011 sti sedan and how much of drop front and back

    • A: Epic Engineering has developed these springs with the daily driver in mind. So it will stiffen up your suspension a noticeable difference, but not to a point where a overly bouncy rebound is an issue. Epic Engineering spring kit lowers the car approximately 1 inch in the front and slightly less in the rear giving the vehicle a slightly raked or "nose down" stance. This adjustment levels the wheel arches front to rear, for an aggressive and even look.

i got a 2011 wrx are these springs my only option? i want to lower it and stiffen up the suspension.

    • A: Epic Engineering is the only company that has come out with lowering springs for the 2011 WRX so far. However, this is not the WRX set. This is for the STI. The WRX set is part number EE-S-WGR-002. Thanks.
