Q: What size is the bolt for the U-Bracket? brettklynn477746 years ago
I'm thinking about adapting this to be able to remove the license plate and install a Tow Strap for track days. What size size is the bolt that attaches the U-bracket to the main shaft?

A: Hello, I'm sorry we don't have a solution for you. Its only intended install is to thread in to the bumper beams tow hook hole. Mike

A: This relocation kit uses the stock tow hook mount in the factory bumper beam and if you don't have the stock bumper beam, then you would need to fabricate a bracket to hold the mount. I would inspect the factory mount and try to duplicate it the best you can.

A: This uses the stock tow hook location in the bumper beam and as long as you retain the tow hook mount, this can be used with a FMIC.

Will I need to drill a hole on my passenger side fog light cover to properly install this?

A: Your tow hook hole is behind your fog cover. You can either remove it completely or cut in to it to install this kit. Mike

A: You can install it by either removing the fog light cover and running it without the cover or for a cleaner looking install you can drill a hole in your fog light cover right where the tow hook installs. We have done this on a few of our shop cars and it comes out looking very clean. Remember to measure twice and cut/drill once :)

A: Some Vehicles may require the removal of the lower fog light cover for proper installation when the tow hook mounting hole is behind it. Modification to your fog light cover can be made to run this kit successfully however are not required.
