Lamin-X Headlight Covers (Multiple Colors)
Subaru STI 2008-2014
Features & Product Details
Are you ready to upgrade your headlights to create a look of distinction unlike any other? Lamin-X headlight covers are setting a new customizing trend on the aftermarket scene. Not only do these headlight covers look good, but they offer improved protection against the unforgiving road.
Their high quality transparent lens film is a flexible vinyl material with adhesive backing. It adds a unique look to your headlights while retaining the stock shape. In addition to the added protection you will receive from rocks and other road debris, the headlight covers prevent the hazy, yellow appearance caused by UV radiation and inferior headlight materials. Lamin-X is low maintenance and car wash safe.

I've had these for about 6 months now and overall I'm not that pleased. When I received them the material was about 1/4 smaller around the edge than the actual backing, i.e. they shrunk! I stretched as much as I could and followed the directions to keep stretching with the squeegee over the next few days after install, but alas, since I've installed them they STILL SHRANK...more material please! The good news is they protect your lenses..WELL!

I was very pleased with this product, but I highly suggest having a professional install it if you don't have experience yourself. I aligned it perfectly with minor struggle, but didn't quite get all the moisture out. Needless to say it didn't look goo with tiny water bubbles everyhere.

Looks great. Thought I killed the drivers side on install, it was a terrible pain. After that the passenger went on easy. Looks aggressive and doesn't detract from light output very much.

The color comes out nice, but my feeling is the product comes cut too small and requires a significant amount of stretching. The headlight lenses are difficult enough to get full coverage, I had to give up on the fog light lenses as there jut wasn't enough material, so I have small white rings around them.

They look amazing on my 11' sti against the red paint. They are a bit of a pain to put on though. If you have no experience with things like this, or no heat gun. (or patience) I would highly reccomend having someone with at least some clear bra application experience put them on for you.

Q: Lens cracks Comet1110 years ago
Have you had any reports of cracked lenses from the HID's making the lens too hot and cracking with this applied?

A: As long as you are not using a super hot burning bulb it should not be a issue. However some aftermarket HID kits produce such high heat that they even melt stock housings so if it melts a housing you can only imagine that it can damage the film.

A: It depends on what film you get. As for Legality, you would want to contact your local DOT office to see what you can and cant do. As this depends on each individual state.
