Had these professionally installed on my wrx. They fit great, i opted for the clear ones so you could not tell that they were on. Almost a year later they seem to be doing the job and show no signs of fading or coming off.
I have a 12 WRX sedan and the headlight films do not fit the entire lamp cover. I have tried heating, water, water with soap and everything that was suggested but they just won't fit. RSD has great customer service and got me a second set but it still had the same fitment issues. Oh well, it could just be me so money kinda wasted.

Is it a very dark like a black out smoke or slightly like tint. Not into blacked out lights at all. But if it's a light tint ill purchase!

A: It is darker than a light tint, but still not too dark to the point where it should cause an issue with your lighting.

How is the install on these? Are you guys going to be posting any videos?

A: I did the install of the yellow covers on our BRZ. If you take your time and have a heat gun it really is not too bad. Use plenty of spray so you can keep repositioning the overlay as you install it. The instructions call for the ambient temp to be at a certain point or higher, but with it being winter we did it when it was much cooler. They still installed correctly when using the heat gun. As for videos of the install, personally I referenced the videos already online from Lamin-X as they covered the basics perfectly.

A: Thanks Justin! I'll see if my detail shops tint guy can do them. I installed yellow bulbs but I'm falling for the look of yellow tinted fog light lenses.

Q: Lamin X Film TQuon10 years ago
Am I allowed to mix and match the products? Like clear headlight covers and yellow fog light covers?

A: Unfortunately we do not sell the headlights separate from the fogs, but we do sell the fogs by themselves. So you would be able to buy this kit, and then the fogs in any color you would like. Thanks.

Q: Lamin X douglasmpattison5640211 years ago
I have a 2011 with 35k and the head lights have normal wear. What happens if I put these over Semi-pitted head lights? Do I have to use a restore kit like 3M before applying?

A: If your headlights are pitted, it wound not be a bad idea to buff them out to make them as smooth as possible before applying the covers for best fit and finish.
