2006 STi oil pan started leaking on the backside and had some light rust, and that Christmas money was burning a hole in my pocket so i decided to purchase ole' faithful here, and I was not disappointed. All in all it took me about 2 days to install between War Zone games, I do die a lot tho so.. On a serious note, I do think this a great investment for anyone who is looking to get that extra insurance from a mechanical standpoint, as this does increase oil capacity to 6 quarts, and the oil pick up and windage tray are just overall better. I'd put it in the same category as the cylinder 4 cooling mod, and AOS systems. Yes, you will have to raise the engine, and yes you need a ton of patience for the back 4 bolts, but its totally worth it. The sticker adds like 40 WHP too.
Had this installed along with my new block and some other goodies but man does this look nicer than oem! Needed a new oiling system and this kit was one of the pieces I pick for it and have not regretted it. Killer b makes good products and this is no exception! Only down side would be that no new drain plugs included but oh well. RSD as usual delivered this product to me in a few days! Never thought of going anywhere else for parts... if you are looking for an awesome oil pan up graded look no further because this killer b oil pan is the one to get. the quality material is heavy duty and also its bigger then the stock oil pan can hold more oil for cooler temps and an optional oil temp plug. I was lucky I had my engine out an a stand for easy installation with all the replacement bolts needed . the only down side for me personally is I wish the bolts was not allen wrench style, compared to the stock 10mm. was do able but tight area of work space. also this kit should come with the drain plugs if your paying that much for it a simple 9$ plug. other then that good product
As a street car man i bought this kit cause i really wanted an upgrade for the oem oil pick up i had because the one on my 2004 subaru sti was't feeding my engine the volume of oil it required. And boy was i impressed. Anybody like me who has a street car with 400 bhp and you dont want to break the bank ....killer b is the shit to have ...trust me you will not be disappointed. If you have a sub like me you will need help to get it on cause the space to maneuver is kind of small ... but ts worth the hassle,
There is no reason not to switch to these at your next oil change. You are only risking your engine's longevity by leaving the stock pickup in there.

Q: Will this fit a non-turbo Impreza? Kaichuuuuuu11 months ago
I have a 2007 2.5i that I just blew the motor on, caused by oil starvation from sloshing and the pickup not working properly and wanted to future-proof my new motor. Fitment is only confirmed on turbo models on this site, so will this fit a stock EJ253? Only mod that may impact fitment are my Tsudo UEL's. Thanks.

A: My only concern would be the header you are using, the rest should physically bolt up without a problem, but I would worry about the routing of the N/A headers interfering with the pan. I would assume it would work, but I would hate to tell you yes and then have it cost more money trying to get it to work. Honestly your best bet would be to just do an OEM pan and new pickup and trying to get a baffle plate (like this killer B unit) to work, as that will help keep oil down in the pan during high G maneuvers. Hope this helps!
