Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct proudly carries a great selection of quality engineered drivetrain, suspension, and performance upgrades and accessories brought to you by Kartboy.
These are the Kartboy Shifter Bushings which have been designed to replace the stock 5-speed bushings on 98-2008 models. These bushings will not change the geometry of the shifting mechanism, however, they will help eliminate excessive play in the system to provide a more solid gear change. These are made from black 95A durometer polyurethane materials to provide long-lasting performance.

A must have for any car! Installed this on my 2004 WRX and made the shift feel so much better! Make sure to get the rear bushing with this to get the best shift feel possible!
Paired with the rear shifter bushing, this combo is a must and it is even much more noticeable with a Group N transmission mount installed as well. Super crisp!
Easy to install great quality I needed to add an additional washer to fill a gap when I installed this
Bought this along with the Kartboy short shifter and rear bushing. Made shifting much tighter and I love the new feel of it. It was a bit of a pain to get the old bushing out, but putting these new ones in was a breeze. Would definitely recommend, especially in combination with Kartboy short shifter and rear bushing.
Awesome product, must pair it up with the rear bushing and ss thrower. Shifting is night and day!!

Will these fit my 2000 Outback Sport?

A: We have not personally test fit these bushings on a 00 Outback Sport and we are unfortunately unable to guarantee fitment. They should fit most Subaru 5 speeds and in our experience a spacer/shim may be necessary on some vehicles that are not in the Confirmed Applications list.

Q: Will it fit '98 Forester S? JimCarlsberg9 years ago
I've been trying to find replacement front shifter bushings for my 1998 Subaru Forester S. The Kartboy rear shifter bushings will fit my car, but it says that these will not. Is that true? Or can I get these to work?

Q: Side to side movement? BoostBum10 years ago
Will this bushing along with the rear bushing help with side to side movement while in gear or would that be the shifter linkage?

following answer helpful
A: These front shifter bushings will greatly reduce the side to side movement and will be a noticeable upgrade. The shifter linkage bushings will also help a bit, but these front bushings will be the most beneficial to reduce side to side movement.

Can i use this bushing with the STI shorth throw shifter?

A: You can use this bushing with any OEM or short shifter. The bushing is actually installed on the lower section of the shift linkage so the shifter you run doesn't have any affect on whether you can run this bushing or not.
