I was looking for the rumble but didn’t want it too loud and pretty much zero drone whatsoever and the q300 did just that
Great fitment. 45 mins to install for me on the ground. Sounds great. No too loud, kinda dronie but not bad. Still has some pops and bangs on down shifts. Great fit for someone who wants a low profile sound, that you can still hear alittle better than stock.
this exhaust is perfect for my DD, i can leave in the mornings without waking the whole neighborhood which is a plus for me! low highway drone but has a nice deep rumble when you want it to. tip: definitely buy the GrimmSpeed downpipe adapter as it makes this install 100x easier.
My buddy helped me install this the other weekend and it went on quickly (helps if you have the hanger removal tool) and sounds amazing. Not too loud with a nice deep rumble to it.
If you want a rich deep 1500-3000 RPM bass tone (tapering off gradually and getting more baritone to red line), this is your exhaust system. Easily the least bright and least 'tin can' edgy system I have heard. If you want that ricer fart can sound, this is NOT for you. I added a CAI, got a tune and my stock 265hp 2013 went to 320bhp on CA 91 octane! It really kicked up the wimpy stock sheetmetal tipped look of my hatchback. The car almost looks lowered now and properly balanced visually...impressive. Tips were perfectly symmetrical and installer made sure they were perfectly centered on the bumper cutouts. Polished piping, muffler and tips is great too. Took me a week to get well accustomed to the dramatic transformation in sound. Its bellowing like a bull in rut has become a good friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjRn0EpOIoI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4n7X62O0E1k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbPNmYKs7P0

Anyway to buy just an Invidia mid pipe? I got a axel back portion from a private seller, when I install it I want to replace the midpipe section as well.

Q: Invidia q300 Seth5 years ago
Im planning on getting a invidia q300 catback exhaust. What would be a good downpipe to go with this exhaust? Im thinking of a catted downpipe considering cobb doesnt support catless downpipes.

A: Most aftermarket downpipes (Grimmspeed, Invidia, etc) use the same 2 bolt 3" flange that this uses. Some downpipes (Cobb and a couple of others) use a stock style flange and will require an adapter. Performance on most aftermarket catted downpipes will be fairly similar.
