Description

When you are upgrading to a larger turbo or driving the car hard it is important to keep the air charge as cool as possible. Even though the stock intercooler is able to flow sufficient air, it is still only designed for mild driving and stock power levels.

When pushing the car hard, the stock intercooler will heat soak quickly and take a long time to cool back down. This causes the performance of the motor to decline and power to suffer. The Process West intercooler is a direct factory replacement that features a larger than stock core and lower pressure drop. These 2 features previously stated allow the intercooler to flow more air while reducing the amount of pressure that is lost over the surface of the intercooler. These features allow the intercooler to work better for longer and also allow a larger amount of air to pass through the core. The combination of these things will allow this intercooler to handle upwards of 400WHP. This Process West TMIC includes everything needed to make it a direct factory replacement.

Bought this for my 2015 STI to go with the blouch 20G-XTR Turbo. I was concerned as the stock intercooler piping was about an inch too short to fit up the the new turbo. Anyone worried, the piping for this does fit and I believe its a little longer, but it took some pushing and wiggling toward the pass side. Tight fit by upper cowl grille, but all in all a good product.

Prevent heat soaking and improve power

I just installed this on my 2011 STI (EDM), 1hour job, all necessary pipes provided. I do need to chop off 1cm of the silicon Y pipe (on the IC ends) to make the IC moves forward a bit. This is because I have a cusco tower bar. Trust me, it is a simple direct stock replacement. My boost becomes more stable after traffic (you will know if you've been to Hongkong) probably due to cooler air entering the system.

  • Q: STRUT BAR FITTMENT  scoobystevo0427508 3 months ago

    Answer

Is there any fitment issues using this intercooler with a Perrin strut bar on a 06 STI?

    • A: It is not confirmed to clear the Perrin strut tower bar. Based off past experiences we are not able to confirm.

  • Q: 2016 sti  Kadamski5140 2 years ago

    Answer

Will this help lower spool rpm with a cobb 20g turbo?

    • A: Aftermarket intercoolers generally do not reduce spool time because they usually have more volume to fill, but they will be more efficient and cool better than stock. This would work well with a 20G turbo.

  • Q: process west tmic vs grimspeed tmic  fly23jr56890 3 years ago

    Answer

I'm aiming for 450whp pump gas. Which will be a better choice? Which can support more hp?

    • A: Both will have about the same efficiency range and both are good choices. For help deciding on an intercooler, please give us a call.

  • Q: ATP Turbo GTX3576R  buRashid 3 years ago

    Answer

can i use this TMIC with the ATP Turbo GTX3576R turbo

    • A: At that point it may be more efficient to go with a front mount, but this depends on other supporting modifications you may have.

  • Q: Recently purchased for 2015 STi   3 years ago

    Answer

Hey guys, I have heard conflicting information on whether or not the PW tmic will fit a Blouch 1.5XTR. Do I need to extend the y-pipe to fit? Or will this fit as is? As always, thanks for the help.

    • A: As long as each is vehicle specific to the 2015 STi then it should work together without any sort of fitment issues. Which it does appear that they are. Have a nice day.
