  • Q: cold air intake fitment  cruzcontrol.musubi3 years ago

i've read that some FMIs restrict the use of a CAI and insist upon only using a SRI instead. will the AEM cold air intake fit with this front mount intercooler?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We haven't been able to confirm that those two products will work together. If your intake sits in the path of intercooler piping, then it will not work and will need a different intake.

  • Q: Bumper beam?  Jbsmith4 years ago

Buying just the core has the bumper beam and no piping. This has piping and no bumper beam. So how do I get the entire kit??? Core with bumper beam and hoses.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Process West does not offer a bumper beam for the 08-14 STI at this time, and it is not possible to order one from them.

A:  I apologize. That was the Perrin that does. So how do you mount the process west?

  • Q: 2012 STI  thrallfornoone324224 years ago

Does this intercooler mount directly to the stock turbo? How much trimming of the front bumper cover needs to be removed? If I have a cold air intake (injen tuned) will the inter cooler piping fit?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The intercooler piping attaches to the stock turbo and will also work with aftermarket stock location turbos. The bumper cover will need to be trimmed approximately 3 inches. We cannot guarantee fitment with any intake other than Process West, but most short ram intakes should be compatible and most coil air intakes are not.

i want this fmic for my car i know u need a tune but can i put it on wile car is in its braking in period and will run fine or bad idea
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Tuning is generally not necessary for intercoolers unless you already have a custom tune. If you are using the stock tune, then you can just bolt this on and go, but you would gain more power from a custom tune.
