Awsone OEM replacement 6 months ago
    5out of 5stars

I've owned this now for a few years now. I live in northern virginia where summer humidty flippin sucks! Before with the OEM unit taking off from a stop light going straight or taking turns with the A/C on it struggled pretty bad from heat-soak. Now it feels 90% better. It also helped that I put DEI gold and silver heat refective tape on the intercooler. Construction is excellent. I would recommend, it retains the metal lines that the OE unit has to make it look stock.

    Awesome Product 12 months ago
    5out of 5stars

First rate quality. The core is huge compared to stock. The only downside is that it comes close a bolt on the left side support bracket (area above the turbo). For me, it was no big deal. I was able to simply remove that bolt. That is the only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 Stars for install. Otherwise, it is 5 out of 5! FYI... I am 382HP and 377TQ at the wheels on 93.

So the core itself is very nice. The design makes it easy to install considering it takes up the whol top of the engine bay now. II thought it was interesting that they give you a new y pipe to connect to the turbo considering it’s a 700 TOP MOUNT!!! So that was a little disappointing..... but over pretty nice.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Fittment  David7 months ago

I noticed on ETS website they have this TMIC for 08-16 sti and another one for 17-18 sti. Is there a difference? I have a 17 sti.
    • Q: Cusco strut bar clearence   AHM Automotive3 years ago

Hi, I have a 2015 STI, I have a Cusco front strut bar and would like to know if this TMIC would clear. Thank you!
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Unfortunately, we have not test fitted that combo and typically aftermarket intercoolers will be too large and not fit with aftermarket strut bars.

    • Q: Flow rates and pressure drop?  Regan M5 years ago

Does anyone know these ratings? I know ETS always makes a great IC and it has double the cooling surfaces but, im stuck between this and the Grimmspeed unit.
      • 1 of 2 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Hello, this intercooler has a CFM rating over 2000. This is recommend between 250-450whp and will support 500whp on certain applications. You’re also not going to see any real pressure drop on a vertical flow intercooler like the Subaru TMIC due to the amount of charge rows.
