Q: Relocation of Alternator KJthePA2 years ago
I am putting a EJ205 engine into a VW Bug. I see that you have parts for relocating the Alternator. Why would I want to do that? Would it help to do this if I'm going to reverse the Intake Manifold (for better fitment into the VW) so I wouldn't have to use phenolic spacers to help the MAF clear the Alternator in the reversed position?

A: This is meant to relocate the alternator for when a reverse intake manifold is installed, otherwise the alternator sits in the path of the new throttle body position. If you are putting a reverse intake manifold on your EJ, you will likely need this or modify your alternator bracket to make it fit.
